I actually loved this place! I thought that the location was great, the room large, comfy and spotlessly clean. The breakfast, which was served outside, was nice. The staff, although limited by their ability to speak English, were delightful, very gracious and willing to try and help. My partner on the other hand, did not like the fact that the...

It’s only about 5 km from the airport to central Luang Prabang so we arrived quickly at our hotel, the “Luang Prabang Residence Boutique Villa” (e-mail info@prabangresidence.com) .It’s difficult applying a label to this very friendly lodging. It has only seven rooms, no swimming pool ,no bar or disco (which we don’t want anyway) so it isn’t a typical “hotel” .The...

I arrived yesterday evening : the taxi from airport didn't want to bring me at the hotel and leave me with my luggage at the entrance of the night market - very busy and with my luggage it has been a nighmare to move between goods exposed on the floor and customers. So it takes between 20 minutes or 30...

This was our favourite hotel this trip. We stayed 2 nights when we first arrived in Luang Prabang and when we returned to Luang Prabang a week later we wished we could have stayed again but by then it was the high season and the prices had increased beyond our budget. The rooms were clean and large with a roomy,...

room size is good. I had an upper floor room with two big windows facing a neighboring house. Frankly, I thought I booked another place by the river (my mistake) and was kinda shocked when the van pulled up to a dark alley. The water pressure is a joke. The place was converted from a traditional house and adjacent to...

This is a small hotel in a side road from the 'tourist Street'. The hotel itself is very nice, but small. The location is wonderful, the local market opens up in the morning immediately in front of the hotel. this makes the coming and going a bit awkward, but people are very friendly and do all they can to make...

My wife and I just spent three days there. It is absolutely delightful and the staff welcoming and courteous as can be. We ate in the restaurant and were delighted with the food, service, wine and atmosphere and the price very reasonable . Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed, clean and well kept. It is not quite 5 stars...

Sisavavong is just a few steps to the left and Mekong river bank a few steps to the left. Breakfast with freshly brewed coffee and tasty omelette is served in the front garden while a local market is happening right out side the gate. The room is huge but a bit plain. Toilet and shower are well maintained - clean...

Location is fantastic, down a small lane off the main street which is a night market at night. Perfect for getting around. Rooms are huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was more than adequate sitting outside the front of the hotel in the courtyard was nice. The only reason i am not giving it 5 stars is the price, you can...

We stayed here for just one night. At first i was put off by the price, for what we pay, we could have gotten a 4/5 star hotel in Malaysia, not a guesthose. The staff were very friendly though, spoke English well, gave tips on what to do when in Luang Prabang. There is no swimming pool (which disappointed my...
