Mostly I will echo what others are saying: the location is good - close enough to walk to all attractions, but still quiet (other than the roosters, but they didn't bother me). I had a room with a balcony overlooking the lovely garden. The room itself was very comfortable, with a safe, TV, fridge, hot water. The staff were all...

We stayed at Villa Chitdara for four nights while exploring Luang Prabang. It is a nice, quiet location along one of the primary routes for the monks alms each morning. It is also only a short walk (as is most everything in LP) to Tourist Street, the Night Market and many of the good restaurants along the peninsula. Breakfast included...

We were booked into villa chitdara as part of a 10 day Laos tour with laostravel.com which is an outstanding tour company - one of best I've been with. Villa chitdara was outstanding as was all hotels on the tour. Villa chitdara was centrally located but off main streets so quiet except for roosters crowing in mornings - need earplugs...

The hotel is centrally located in old town but on a road without much traffic. The rooms have wooden floors that look like the top of a piece of furniture and are very nicely decorated. Note that the "restaurant" is only used for breakfast but there are many eating options within walking distance. The monk walk for alms in the...

The Hotel is close (5 mins) to the City Centre, main shops / restaurant, etc. Every morning at 5:30 you can join the ALM procession just stepping out from the hotel. Furthermore, the Manager Lady,...

We contacted this place based on a review and website. The owner said he didn't have availability on the first day but offered to put us up next door at Lao wooden house for the first night. Which worked out well. I appreciated the effort to accommodate us. The place was clean, charming and cozy. Refrigerator and a/c in the...
