Note: Even though I booked for Nylon Hotel (via Agoda.com), I was given a room at New Nylon hotel, which is the brand newly remodeled wing of the hotel. I arrived before 4am from an overnight bus journey and a little after 5am I was allowed to check-in. I was immensely grateful! (On the other hand, they didn’t even allow...

I didn't receive my welcome drink (although being part of my deal) and when I mentioned it to the manager at the reception he had no idea of what I was talking about. Breakfast was managed by a group of teenagers, 3 or 4 which were too busy with their phones to look after their customers. Only after I mentioned...

When we stayed at this hotel, the room was good but breakfast was poor. We had to ask for them to replenish everything, butter, jam, bread and were told to 'wait!' when asked if it was coming. Hospitality unfortunately in Myanmar is poor but this hotel was particularly bad especially during check-out. They want dollars and if you ask to...

When arriving at the airport, we asked our driver to bring us to the "Nylon" hotel. Luckily, he drove us to the "New Nylon" hotel. Which is a huge difference to the (old) "Nylon" hotel around the corner (although I think that both places are managed by the same owner). The New Nylon hotel is the best value we got...

We ended up the new nylon hotel after some recommendations from fellow travellers. We still do not know why as the Nylon hotel was just horrible. The new Nylon hotel looked better, sadly enough they only have twin room setup. We asked for a double bed but could not provide any or open any new room. We stayed two nights,...

After staying in a super budget hotel we decided to spend the extra $15 and stay at this New Nylon Hotel next door. I believe it just opened in September 2015 and it was incredibly clean, with Air Con, mini fridge and TV with English channels. The breakfast buffet was also delicious. My boyfriend ended up getting really sick while...

Would I stay again - yes. The room was clean and the bed and pillows comfortable. The bathroom had hot and cold water and was clean. The room had a fan and air con and did not smell like the more expensive hotel rooms we looked at at other places. It is very well located. The wifi is good. The...

My girlfriend and I found this place by accident while looking for a different accommodation and were pleasantly surprised by the price and what you get for said price. The room was clean and our private bathroom was too. The breakfast was good and you had a choice. The staff were friendly and always helped when they could.

I stayed in old Nylon, it was probably one of the cheapest options in Mandalay. I had a room on the 5th floor, beside their breakfast restaurant. The room was OK, not really clean, but with a huge bathroom equipped with a proper bathtub. The staff at the reception was nice and helpful, but the other staff wasn't. They spent...

The nylon hotel is a great place for a cheap night. But remember you get what you pay for don't expect luxury. There is two nylon hotels on the same street corner there is the new nylon and only nylon hotel. New nylon is slightly more expensive but is liturely brand new and in perfect condition. Rooms in new nylon...
