Some places are great despite their first impression - This IS NOT one of those places. In fact, the first impressions were good - generally bright and clean. However, the brightness was diminished by the fact that the common area is not smoke free and really wasn't smoke free the entire time we were there. Generally we look for a...

Location & Cleanness were the best aspects of the hotel. It's located at the heart of the lovely city of Alex. Some disturbance to your sleep will be there due to the v close passing tram between 6 am and 11 pm. Breakfast was good and light. Make sure that your room equiped with a/c, especially in summer. DO NOT...

A great location, right on the East Harbor in old Alexandria. Upon arrival, I was met by very welcoming people. The room was clean with Air Con. and connected washroom (basic: toilet, shower, sink). Other rooms had fans so we paid a little more for the Air Con. In peak season, this was 45 USD a night. 39 USD for...

We've been for two nights in the Transit Hotel in Alexandria (Egypt) in July 2010. They offered us a good and friendly service and the room we got was spacious and clean. The bath was very small but ok. Be careful about the noise of the traffic. The traffic never ends and the cars use their horn 24 hours a...
