My friend and I had both seen this hostel recommended in guide books so booked to stay... We regretted it very quickly! We were welcomed by what seemed a very friendly lady, however rather than showing us around and explaining the basics like the showers, lockers etc, she just tried to sell us very expensive day trips through the hostel...

Well. Where do I start. Firstly I have 3 potential causes for the over whelming smell. Either they are keeping previous back packers in there basement. Or maybe it's the small puddles of urine all over the toilets? But I think it was cat urine to be honest. I did not have a bed. Instead I had 2 smelly matresses...

Nice building and rooms, actual stay was fine. However Sylvia and her crew aggressively market their own "tours" charging 60lei for transport and not informing people that you can get a bus to Bran at least for 6 or 8 lei. Almost refused to give information when we wanted to travel not using their tour - said that hiring a...

Rolling Stone Hostel was a really nice place. Sisi and Diana run the hostel and are incredibly helpful. There's so much to do in the area and they tell you everything and will help organise it all for you. Location was great. You're in the old part of town, so it wasn't as busy and it was a lovely walk...

This was definitely one of the better hostels I have stayed at. When we arrived the staff checked us in and gave us some good advice and great recommendations for what to see in the town along with a map of the city. The hostel is located in a quiet area in the old part of town some 5-10 minutes...

This hostel is well located in the Old Town. It seems to be run by a family who have a real, genuine enthusiasm for Brasov. It's a really bubbly friendly place and fantastic value for money. They also trips out to Dracula's Castle, Bear Sanctuary etc. They are having problems with the internet at the moment but it's being fixed.

i arrived early in the morning after taking the overnight train from budapest, and straight away things went really well. Diana was amazing, not only allowing me to check in early, but giving me a choice of rooms after letting me know which was her favourite. then we spent a bit of time going through all the things to see...

Rolling Stone Hostel is located in the older part of Brasov which is quite neat if seeking a quieter experience whilst in Brasov. The Hostel is run by two hard working sisters who are quite social and very informative. They do anything and everything to help you out if stuck and are always up for a chat. The hostel itself...

“The ten bed dorm was decent with single beds. A-framed styled dorm with a great view of the mountain. Was told by guests the private rooms were good for the price.”

“Go to a different hostel, it's not worth the money. Don't take their tour to Bran castle either it's overpriced and local buses get you there for ~6 Lei just as fast, just ask as at the bus ticket station or tourist information offices.”
