wow. this is an amazing grand old building and it's huge. Our room was extremely spacious and the beds were so comfy. Yes this hotel is a little dated and quirky but that's what we enjoyed about it. Breakfast is nice simple continental style. The toaster does take about four hours to toast your bread though so take a book...

This is an old hotel but the owners are renovating it. Looks like the 4th floor has had the makeover 1st and Rooms 407 to 417 get sea views. Their is no 413. Restuarant on the 1st floor serves a cooked breakfast plus is a bar next door for afternoon drinks. Short walk to old town and main attractions .

We went in august and it was a heat wave throuout our stay and no air conditioning which made it hard to sleep. You will be stung by...

As the reviewer below noted, the building is grand, the ceilings high and the breakfast terrace lovely. My poor review rests on the current state of services, i.e. (1) lack of curtains, as the white gauze did nothing to block streetlights or daylight (2) lack of a fan or AC to cut the intense heat (3) the mosquitoes (and nothing...

We've just returned from Pula, Croatia. We stayed at Hotel Riviera for 5 days. After we booked, I've read few reviews about this hotel on tripadvisor.com and they were pretty bad. So we expected a dreadful hotel, but upon our arrival everything was absolutely great. Hotel Riviera is a historical building, with beautiful features from the austro-Hungarian period. Yes, it...

Stayed for two nights at this hotel, it was horrible. Looks nice from the outside, but once you get inside you soon regret it. The hotel had an awful stench, had to keep the window open to get some fresh air, the stench in the bathroom was unbearable. No soap was provided, had to go and buy some. Beds comfortable,...

What an interesting place, it is like a museum. I am sure it was very upmarket, some time ago. With a heavy injection of soap, water and money it could be suprb, now it is a crumbling and largely unused ghost of its former self. The kids found it creepy. The sea view from the window is largely of the...

The hotel was scary. VERY old, it seemed it has had better times. Our room had a balcony full of pigeons poop, and after the first day with the balcony door open, we had all the carpet full of bird pooh, and they only cleaned it after 2 days. The carpet was very dirty. They didn't have any air conditioner,...
