Detailed Reviews
Good hotel in the port area. Easy access downtown, bus stop at 20m and several buses to take you to the old town.
Room was spacious and comfortable but black curtains were not so black and light came thru early in the morning.
Shower's floor was extremely slippery and had to put towels on it to prevent us from sliding.
Breakfast is buffet, expensive, children at 12 pay like an adult and it is not that abundant, not many choices.
Several places in the area where you can have a nice coffee though.
Overall It was OK.

We were part of a large group that used City Hotel for the end of a multi-day event, and the hotel went above and beyond with their help. They allowed us to drop participants' bags off in rooms as soon as other guests had checked out, and they made sure all the rooms were made up bed-wise as we needed them. The receptionists went above and beyond with their help, and everyone was so friendly. The rooms were lovely as well - the beds were comfy and the showers were great.

I was for the first time in Dubrovnik, so I‘ve chosen the hotel due to modern style and location near by marina. A rooms was very cosy and big, but without any view or enough sunlight (nearby building closed all sunlight, so the room was dark). There were a lot of closets in the apartment, so you‘ll have no problems with your clothes. There was no iron and irondesk in the apartment, but may be they are on request. Breakfast was good, coffee is tasteful.

Room Tip:Â You need to go by feet for 15-20 mins in old town, or take a taxi.

Our stay was a bit of a mixed bag. The rooms were nice with comfy beds and the front desk was very accommodating in moving me to another room when needed.
The location is ok, it’s 35 minutes walk from the old city and there are a few smaller bars and restaurants nearby but nothing to write home about.
Beds were comfy and air conditioning good. There is no gym or other facilitates.
Unfortunately we left feeling a bit ripped off, the parking was €20 extra (which we weren’t told in advance), the breakfast was an extra charge and was very disappointing (empty juice machine, broken coffee machine, the only hot food available was one sausage and two eggs) and the overall experience at the bar wasn’t great.

Nice clean modern hotel situated a few minutes walk from the marina.
The room was well appointed with a comfortable bed, although the pillows were a bit on the soft side for me. The Nespresso machine for a coffee in your room was a very nice touch.
The bathroom was very clean, with a walk in shower, but the only toiletries provided were a squeezy bottle of shower gel, and a similar dispenser of soap by the hand basin. A little bit of conditioner, or lotion would have been nice.
Breakfast is a help yourself buffet affair, with a very good varied selection fruit, cereals, cheese, cold meats, along with eggs, bacon sausages etc.
Would be happy to stay there again

Reception are totally disinterested. There didn't appear to be many guests there so they weren't overworked!
In the room with no view, there was a pod machine for coffee and sugar sachets but no milk, tea, or jug to boil water. We checked at reception and told that we either buy tea from the restaurant, or buy tea, milk and a jug from a nearby supermarket.
The supermarket and a bus stop were about the only things close.
Hotel has probably just had a reno but very average.
Stay closer to the Old Town

The main reason we chose to stay at this hotel was because it has a covered parking for our rented car. In a city like Dubrovnik, this is GOLD!
We (a party of 2 couples) booked to stay at 2 different rooms; a Junior Suite and a Senior Suite. The price we paid was very reasonable.
Both the suites were incredibly spacious, very modern and comfortable. However, we were a bit shocked that the Junior Suite doesn’t even have any coffee/tea-making facility.
We had stayed at another hotel in the same area at the start of our trip in Dubrovnik, but it was nothing compared to City Hotel in terms of value for money. We paid more for that hotel for a room much smaller than these suites.
We can highly recommend City Hotel to others visiting Dubrovnik. It’s in a nice area – away from the chaos of the Old City, but still easily accessible by Uber/local buses. You can easily walk to the hotel if you take the airport shuttle bus. Just ask the driver to stop in front of Tommy Supermarket. From there, it’s just a short walk to the hotel.

This hotel is convenient to the harbor and the old town area. It is a short walk to the public bus stop and the buses are easy to hop on and off. The rooms were comfortable with plenty of counter space in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet featured selections of pastries, fruit, hot entrees and beverages. The stafff was friendly and accommodating

Absolutely massive room with a very comfortable double bed and en suite bathroom.
Good location near the harbour and around 30 mins walk from the old town (regular buses available if you don’t fancy going on foot).
Staff were very friendly, helpful and professional.

Following the work at the Hilton, we had to change our reservation and opted for the City Hotel; and we have no regrets, quite the contrary! We had magnificent, super spacious rooms with a roof terrace overlooking the marina! The rooms were very clean and the bathroom very functional. The staff are very friendly, especially the breakfast manager who is fantastically helpful. On the other hand, the breakfast, although complete, is disappointing in terms of quality (the jam is an industrial jelly, for example) and could therefore be improved. However, we really appreciated that they could bring us eggs or croissants to order. We will come back to this hotel if we are in Dubrovnik again.
