We recently stayed 7 nights at the BASE Rooms apartment and cannot think of a better place to use as a base for a trip to the Dalmatian coast. The apartment is located ~150 meters away from the other B&B Rooms, still within the Diocletian...More
It's right at the heart of all the actions -- just a few steps from the vestibule of the Diocletian Palace. During the day, the vestibule is very crowded. But after dark and in early morning, you have the whole place to yourself. It's a...More

if you can get to the small carpark just outside the Riva you can pull up and the owner will come and show you where to park. We didn't manage to do this but found free on street parking in a side street just past the marina and it was then about 10 minute walk to bass rooms. We went up past the port and followed the road back around towards the market and the parking in the red bays was free over the weekend. it's quite expensive in the week though.
