This hostel has a great atmosphere, really knowledgeable and accommodating staff- they'll tell you all the best bars to go to & sights to see. Also get discount off the bar crawls, the place is clean with all facilities you need. Location is good too! Would recommend to a friend.

Hostel is 5 minutes walk to the riva, right in the middle of town. The people definitely made this a good experience. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always happy to give their insight on where to go and what to do. Rooms were nice and not too packed, something I worry about when I go to hostels. Everyone was...

Nice hostel. Friendly and helpful staff who were able to give us great tips for places to eat, things to do, nightlife etc. Good size dorm rooms with comfy beds and lockers, good wi-fi and kitchen/ dining area. Great location, close to bus station, ferry terminal and main old town area. My only niggle would be that there's only one...

The staff at hostel backpackers1 were absolutely fantastic! Friendly, helpful and happy to just chat away. The rooms were clean, tidy with comfortable beds. Showers and toilets were good and clean. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would highly recommend.

It is a backpackers so don't expect much, we had a private double room with an ensuite and free wifi. Room and bathroom were average, just clean not really to my standard. Noisy outside on the street. The bed was ok and the air con worked well. Good location walking distance to the Port which is why we booked it.

They smoke in the balcony and don't close the doors!! The hostel common area fills of smoke and they were warned twice before this review went out and each time they apologize but they keep doing it!!

Very friendly staff who would do anything to help out, and were flexible with bookings and payments etc. Kitchen a bit too basic and not easy to cook in. Shower drains could be cleaner, but otherwise OK. Many friends had horrible hostel experiences elsewhere, but I stayed here a few times over summer and really enjoyed it. People in my...
