This review would have given the hotel 5 stars it deserves. Excellent Check-in, great rooms, extraordinary breakfast, staff professional and friendly. But the damn elevator incident exposed a serious flaw in crisis handling training of Staff. While coming down in the elevator from First floor to minus 1 floor car park, the elevator, carrying OTIS tag, stopped with a thud, on the ground floor, as we (wife, son and me) discovered finally. Lift would not move and there was no 2 way communication system installed between the stuck passangers and real people outside. There was an alarm though. We pressed it about 6 times at intervals and and it did sound like an alarm type of sound but there was no response or sense of awareness that someone could understand our predicament. We could hear voices but they appeared to be not anything about us or the lift. 10 minutes into this situation and we realized we had a phone with a local sim. We called the hotel no. We could hear the phone ringing at the reception located near the lift door on the ground floor. The calm voice on other end said they were getting someone to come. When asked if it would be 10 min or 20 min or more. Response was 10 min. 20 more mins passed and there was no response. Hotel Reception had now our phone no and no one cared to update us. Long story short, after half an hour of our call to the hotel, a technician had reached the hotel and opened our lift door. The stark reality after getting out of the lift, no hotel staff approached us for being sorry or offering us a drink or a word of compassion. The hotel management had no letter of apology or a fruit basket sent to our rooms as that would have been a minimum gesture we would have expected. So while the hotel gave us no other cause of complaint, this will be a mystery to us how hotel staff or its management or its owners were so clueless on being able to handle this crisis with customer satisfaction.…
We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The hotel rooms and dining area are exactly as the pictures on their website. Looking forward to yet another great stay here as we have more of Split to explore!! We’ve made a vlog of our trip so for more information find us by searching Taja & Mamoyo into YouTube. Accommodation – we stayed in a standard double room with a king-size bed which was a bonus, the room had a small sofa, desk and a bathroom (shower and bathtub). The décor was fitting for the city vibe. The rooms were also very clean, and we were provided with slippers. Breakfast food – We had bed and breakfast, so only breakfast was included. This was all in the main dining area and was a buffet style service. The food was good and there was a variety, including the traditional food. There was a lack of gluten free and vegan options though. Location – The hotel is located just outside the town centre. The town centre is 25-30min walk away and the beach is a 10-15min walk away. The town centre has an abundance of restaurants and shops, with the main attraction being the Diocletian's Palace. You can also book boat trips and water sports from there. We booked all our excursions prior to travelling’. Covid – Masks must be worn in all communal areas of the hotel. Sanitizer is also readily available in all communal areas.…
Centrally located in Split and close to the harbour and other amenities. Our multigenerational family (17 – 92 years) of 12 spent a few wonderful days here. I dealt with Bruno who was exceptional – he was very efficient and helpful at time of making the reservation and also ensured we were well looked after once we got there. All the staff are lovely, friendly, courteous and efficient. The hotel has a lovely décor and the rooms are modern, spacious and well equipped and makes for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. If you have a car, you have complimentary parking in the garage below and there is a life that links this to reception and the rooms so access is seamless and was an important factor for us. It is a relatively small hotel (24 rooms) but that adds to its charm as it lends an intimacy that other larger hotels cannot imitate. The breakfast buffet is just lovely and offers great variety – ask for an omelette and this is freshly prepared and served to you. Given the current Covid situation, other meals don’t seem to be available due to lack of staff and the half-board menu choice was very limited so we stuck to bed and breakfast which was ideal. There are a number of other great reasonably priced restaurants nearby that definitely warrant a visit. Thank you to all the staff at Hotel Ora who made our stay so comfortable and memorable. We highly recommend this hotel, which is very reasonably priced and well worth a visit. ENJOY!…
Stayed here soon as Croatia was put on green list. It’s a lovely hotel everything is clean and spotless. Nice rooms with clean bathrooms. Buffet breakfast is nice and they can also make you an omelette if you like. Staff are very polite and friendly. It’s a short walk to the beach. Would 100% recommend. Thank you :)
The rooms are very nice and spacious and clean. They rooms here are nicer than my 5 star hotel in Dubrovnik. The breakfast area was modern and new and had options and they are helpful and will make you something that is not on the buffet (my sister in law is vegan and gluten free and they made her special meals every morning). They are very accommodating. The gym is nothing special and the pool is nonexistent. But otherwise it’s a superb hotel and roughly 10-15 uber from the center. Highly recommend!
Great new hotel. Pleasent rooms with plenty of space. Good restaurant with nice menu. Staff was friendly. Garage was included in room rate. Public transport is near by and downtown not far away. There is no pool, but you can use gym in basement. Beach and sea is walking distance from hotel.
Excellent service, very friendly staff. The furniture is new and quality, everything is very clean. The best part is the friendly staff. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a good time and enjoy good accommodation.
Many people stay in the old town of Split. I chose to stay in a new boutique hotel 10 mins away. The main reason was that we were on a road trip in Croatia. This is almost impossible to find a car park in the old town. It would be much better to park the car in the hotel and travel to the town by Uber or taxi during the stay. Hotel Ora is one of the few new hotels with modern interior and 24 luxuriously decorated rooms. The room is very spacious and comfortable. Especially the bed. We had one of the best sleep of our whole Croatia trip. The buffet breakfast is another highlight. Even it's a small hotel with 24 rooms. They provide a very wide variety of food with good quality. I have made a detail video of this resort and post on my YouTube channel. You may search "Hotel Ora - The Best Hotel in Split Croatia" my channel is Affordable Luxury Travel Channel. Enjoy.…
We have comfortable stay here. Room is clean and nice. Wifi is strong signal. Access to garage needs key card. So, you have to check in first. Car park us free. You can get a ticket from front office. Breakfast is great. Lots of bakery. Chia seed yogurt is so good.
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in September. It is obviously a new hotel, modern, and stylish. The rooms were spacious and faultless - Very comfortable. The staff were nice and we were satisfied with the service. They could probably try to avoid all congregating out the front smoking, etc as it makes it a bit awkward as we walk past. I suppose this was because the hotel was so quiet - This wasn't an issue for us but I figured I should point it out. The only real negative for the hotel is the location as it is quite far from the main area (Old Town). We didn't feel comfortable walking and and from the hotel at night so we just took an uber which costes about 15 to 20 kunas (Cheap). Overall pleasant stay and would stay here again.
