This hostel is located about 5 minutes from the bus station, supermarkets and in close proximity to some cheap cafes and shops. I wouldn't recommend this hostel solely because the atmosphere was extremely cold. I've never been to a hostel where the owners didn't even attempt to engage with you (didn't say hi, welcome you , gave information on Odessa,...

Staying at "The Babushka" was undoubtedly one of the most interesting hostel experiences in my life. This hostel is unique thanks to it's lovely owner "Luda". During my short 2 days stay there, I felt like I was living in my relatives house in Odessa, very warm and relaxed atmosphere, Luda does everything to make you to feel like home....

Small hostel in a 200 year old house, ran by a retired Ukrainian couple with a lovley and helpful daytime receptionist. Had great conversation with Anya as she introduced me to highlights of Odessa and Ukraine's political position. Not a big party hostel. Very cozy and the cat is super friendly. If I spoke some Russian or Ukrainian I'm sure...

I stayed here with a Moldovan friend for a weekend. We had so much fun together with the other guests. Our room was beautiful, old grandeur, comfortable bed, very clean. And the owners are amazing. The woman has a genuinely warm heart! I would definitely stay here again.

Like a lot of hostels in Eastern Europe this hostel is an apartment with bunk beds in the largest bedroom. The outside is very off putting, quite bleak with scaffolding, the door described as red and pink has long lost any will to have a colour and I would describe it as rotting wood, a nice shade though! It is...

This excellent hostel is located close to the railway station in the centre of Odessa. What really makes this hostel one of the best I have come across is the extraordinary friendly staff and how they make sure everyone is happy. The organise all your tours and sight seeing needed. The hostel is located in an old magnificent building. It's...

It started with a price close to double the price if you book online... I really shouldn't have stayed but the next hostel was far and I paid it. Then I found out as the night dragged on that the owners sleep in the comon room, making it a very uncomfortable environment at night, especailly since the kitchen has no...

A bid old splendid palace of a place with comfortable furniture and a couple of cats and of course a friendly babushka. I booked extra days since it is near the train station but near all sorts of stuff like restaurants and markets.

We instantly liked the Babushka Grand hostel thanks to the welcome we received from Luba and Viktor, the beautiful interiors, the large rooms and the family atmosphere (complete with cats). Well located near the train station, wonderful atmosphere and if you like the personal touch, you could not be in a better place.

We stayed in the private double room, which was huge! The staff is very friendly and there is a nice big kitchen and common area. They let us stay there half the night after we had already checked out, since our flight didn't leave until late at night. Only downside is the bathroom, since there is only one for the...

It is three blocks from the train station and a 25 minute walk from the beach and a 15 minutes from Deribasivskaya.
