This B&B was one of my FAVORITE places to stay in Antigua - and I travel there frequently. The premises are absolutely delightful, with luscious gardens. Carmen and Carlos, the owners are terrific - very hospitable and helpful. What a TREAT for the senses! That said, it is outside of the town of Antigua, and not within walking distance into... More

As my title already says: This has been one of the most beautiful hotels we've ever visited. Let me start with the only bad thing: It's very much outside the center and not easy to find. We had to ask 3 taxi divers. But everything else is just very much above average. It starts with the colors, paintings all over... More

We managed to find the Posada after some hunting on tripadvisor for a base in Antigua. We were expecting family members to visit us over the course of three weeks, so we wanted somewhere with a 'wow' factor! We contacted Carmen and Carlos beforehand and we managed to secure an excellent deal for all three rooms in the off-season. We... More

Once we arrived in Guatemala, Posada el Ensueno was a little hard to find, even though we gave our shuttle driver a map of its location. It's hidden inside a secluded street that is shut off by gates from the general traffic. But after driving around for half an hour, we did finally find it. We were greeted by Carlos... More

Today, I received a question from a Trip Advisor member about the Posada El Ensueno. I was delighted to inform her of the most wonderful place we stayed in Antigua. The two reviews that have been posted are so true. I don't think I can add any additional information other than it was the nicest place we have ever stayed... More

We just returned from a memorable stay at Posada El Ensueno. Our group of 10 (adults & children) reserved all three suites. One evening, we had another 8 guests, including lots of children, visit there to celebrate a birthday. Carmen, our hostess, had made the cake! When we were too tired to go out for dinner on Thanksgiving night, Carmen... More

We just returned from an amazing 5 days in Antigua, Guatemala. Part of what made our stay so incredible was Posada El Ensueno. Not only is this luxury 3-suite B&B inn a beautiful oasis in and of itself, but the owner (Carmen) made every effort to have our stay be more than just memorable, but extraordinary. She and her staff... More
