Beautiful little hotel, walking distance from main attractions in Antigua. Everything is clean and you have access to a full kitchen and fridge. They offer books, wifi, wine, a computer. The rooms are small but confortable and clean, with towels, hand made soaps and shampoo, filtered water and glasses, and a chocolate on each pillow (even the baby's). We travelled...

Posada la Merced staff goes above and beyond my family and I have stayed there several times and Avery single time is no less than a great experience. Staff is so nice and willing to help, the place itself is super clean and well maintained they have one or two (not sure) little kitchens with stove and fridge for you...

We rented a large four-bed room. Comfortable beds, a safe for valuables, free filtered water, nice furnishings, great location, and very clean. We stayed for two nights. We were pleasantly surprised!!

I think Posada La Merced Antigua is a real gem! The hotel is located in a quieter section of town (by La Iglesia Merced), but is still just four blocks from Calle del Arco. The hotel is 3 stories tall and the best rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors (more windows and natural light). The hotel has a...

I stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed my stay. Rooms are small (I mean, really small) and showers almost on the toilettes. However, the price is friendly, everything is clean, the Pasada is 5-7 minutes from downtown, and receptionists were extremely helpful. I had a thousands of questions (was my first time in Antigua), so I asked for help many...

We came back to Posada La Merced after about nine years of staying at other near-by posadas (they abound on 7a Avenida Norte in Antigua!). It was lovely to be back and enjoy again the rustic but "gringo friendly" environment. Two of us had a two-room suite, so there was plenty of elbow room Everything is clean and fresh, just...

I stayed for 4 nights & really enjoyed the hotel. Great view of one of the volcanoes right out the front door. Relaxing roof top terrace. I arrived each night with candles lit in the little courtyard right outside my room. Staff was very helpful & friendly. Very accommodating even during my early morning departure. Secure lock boxes are available...

The pros: This is a beautiful hotel on a very safe street in Antigua. Location is in the town and walking distance to all the main sites (you can walk across all of the old town from anywhere). There is a beautiful roof top terrace with some chairs, plants, and flowers, that give you a great view of the city...

This was the perfect location for our debriefing retreat from serving a mission in Guatamala. It's serine location in a bustling Antigua was again, perfect, for transitioning back into our "comfort zone". Jorge and his gracious staff were eager to satisfy any need, be it translating, a restaurant recommendation (so many to choose from in walking distance) or basic directions....
