This was my second time staying at La Villa Serena, and I would book there again without hesitation. The atmosphere and setting is breath taking. The view of the volcano from the roof top is surreal. The food was superb and the staff friendly and accomodating.

This bed and breakfast has very nice little rooms with comfy beds situated near to the centre of town but far enough away to be nice and tranquil. The decorations are great and it has a nice little courtyard to sit in. The landlady was very welcoming and a good sized typical Guatemalan breakfast was served every morning (scrambled eggs...

Very well run small guest house. In a cul de sac side street quite unassuming as most properties are in Antigua with just a large door and name plate the clues as to what lays beyond. You enter into the small courtyard filled with flowers and pots with the rooms at ground floor leading off as are the first floor...

This is the place I will remember years after my time in Central America has gone by. I only hope I someday have the chance to stay here again. I have been to many places all over the world and as I, and most travelers will attest to, the place you stay has a weighty impact on your view of...

We can't say enough about Villa Serena. After a long an uncomfortable 12 hour journey, Marina welcomed us 'home' with a couple of beers and a snack! The b&b is beautifully maintained, the rooms stylish and comfortable and the staff gracious. Marina happily helped us with everything from restaurant recommendations to travel plans. We can't wait to go back!

We only spent 2 nights here, but our room (Jaya Mahal, I think?) was beautiful and comfortable, and the terrace and courtyard were full of gorgeous plants and flowers. I enjoyed sitting out there to blog in the mornings and evening. The breakfast was delicious, and Marina was very kind and helpful, not to mention her dog is absolutely adorable...

We stayed here for just one night on our way out of Guatemala, but wish we had had longer. I would definitely stay here again. The owner, Marina, was incredibly warm and welcoming, and took lots of time to help us problem-solve an issue when our transport did not show up. The hotel itself is an oasis of calm and...

I recently stayed here two nights, and was delighted I chose Villa Serena. A short walk from the town center, it is in a pretty but quiet neighborhood. Which was great to be able to get away from the hustle and bustle of tourists and locals, especially over Christmas. The property has 6 rooms, all tastefully decorated, with comfy beds...

My friend and I stayed at Villa Serena on first arriving in Guatemala and again the night before our flight home. Both times the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were a good size and had very comfortable beds. There is also a roof terrace which is very peaceful and a great place to relax if the sun...

I stayed here for a night on my way to Lake Atitlan, and loved it. The house is a refurbished colonial villa with a beautiful courtyard, aesthetic rooms, comfy cozy beds, and a rooftop with views of the volcanoes. Marina was a lovely and caring hostess. She cooked a delightful breakfast, helped me arrange a reliable shuttle to Atitlan, and...
