The Veranda House/Arbor Cottage was just what we were looking for - clean, comfortable, close to town, and a little charming. Breakfasts were a highlight (coffee/juice/fruit/breads/small entree), and set the mood for a day on the island. The staff was unbelievably attentive, and were consistently checking to see if they can help in any way. The property absolutely exceeded our... More

The exceptional staff is what keeps bringing us back to the 3 Veranda house properties.Scott was always available to help whether we needed a reservation, beach chairs, or advice for new locations to explore on the island, and even brought one of our very heavy bags to the loft on the top floor of the Arbor Cottage. Kiely welcomed us... More

we just celebrated our 25th anniversary with a four day stay at the arbor cottages. room was comfortable and very clean; bathroom was surprisingly accommodating. the location was very central to ferry, beach, bookstores, very good food and just tucked away enough to feel away from the busyness of traffic. the staff was welcoming, helpful and yet never underfoot nor... This is the perfect balance between privacy and superior service...every little touch has blown us away. The breakfast is delicious, the flavored water and cocktail hour refreshing, and the location unbeatable. We are sure to return!

We thouroughly enjoyed our stay at the Arbor Cottage. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the rooms were clean, the breakfast was delicious every day, and the location was perfect. We were traveling with extended family and the Captains Loft was exactly what we needed! It was difficult to find a room like that at any other bed and... More

Nantucket is a place I have planned to visit since I was a chlld. I decided this past summer the time had come -- I now have grandchildren. A friend and I stayed in the Captain's Loft at the Arbor Cottage at Six Step Lane, and it was exactly as I had hoped it would be! The staff at the... More

A wonderful experience. Breakfast a bit fussy, but at these prices we should be pampered a bit. The room was hot at night with only a down comforter and a sheet so it alternated between chilly and roasting. The local natives were quite loud on the weekend - woke us up at 1 am each night we were there with... More

My husband and I stayed at the Arbor Cottage for three nights as part of our honeymoon in June. It was our first time on Nantucket, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The AC is managed by the clean, contemporary Veranda House just across the street. We checked in there (very friendly and helpful staff throughout our entire stay) and also... More

When I wanted to book our fall package at the Veranda House(GREAT value included R/T tickets on high speed ferry), there was only one room available across the street in their Arbor Cottage 'annex'. Our stay there did not disappoint. Nice and roomy accommodations were always very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient for... More

The Arbor Cottages are actually part of the Veranda House but just across the street from it - and we stayed in the Beachplum room for 3 days in June and loved (almost!) all of it. The Veranda House has just been re-decorated and is done really well. The garden is wonderful, and the breakfast patio area is a lovely... More
