The Anchor Inn is a short walk from both ferry terminals. We came in on the Hy-line, dropped our bags off at the inn, as we arrived well before check-in, and headed out for lunch and a good explore of the center of town. We liked being on the edge of town, where it isn't so noisy, yet everything was...

Perfect Location to main street. The house has so much history and very charming. Charles, I want your muffin recipe. This B&B has a cute courtyard for coffee and breakfast outside. Ann went the extra step to secure our tour arrangements for us and then travel plans back to the ferry. We would love to come back someday. Joan and...

Having just read a recent review titled "Perfection," we couldn't agree more. We were delighted with the Anchor Inn. From the start Ann was welcoming, comfortable to talk with, and had good recommendations for restaurants, particular beaches, and other things to do. The location is perfect as it is not in the 'downtown' but is so close that you can...

I know Nantucket so well I could navigate the streets with my eyes closed. And yet I had no first hand information about the Anchor Inn until my husband and I stayed there last week. What a surprise! It's a lovely antique house a short walk from Main Street and it is quite easy to imagine oneself as not being...

The hostess was quite rude. When my friend and I checked in, we had an additional friend with us who was staying at another hotel with another group of people. The hostess repeatedly told us that there is a 2 person occupancy. We responded that we were aware of that and that our friend was staying at another Inn with...

This comment is very upsetting to us. We hope others will read our many other reviews and consider the whole picture. This was July 4th weekend. These two women guests arrived at our inn with two additional women that they invited into their room, with their luggage. We have occupancy limits of only 2 per room, and as an innkeeper...

Another great stay at the Anchor Inn. Ann is a lovely hostess and even though we had to ride out Hurricane Arthur on the night of 7/4 we were very comfortable, opting to sit on the wonderful enclosed porch, drink wine and play cards. Although there were quite a few branches down around the island, everything was cleaned up at...

From the first time I talked to Ann on the phone to make reservations I felt welcome. Ann is very kind and helpful. The Inn is so lovely and quaint. Just what we expected to find in Nantucket. Nantucket is so magical and this is the perfect place to stay as it is full of history and charm. A bit...

Anchor Inn is a very comfortable place to stay. Ann and Dennis were very helpful and personable and made our stay easy. Ann gave us a quick tour at check-in and recommended some things to do during our stay. We were there during the Opera Cup race and watched the rainbow fleet, at her suggestion. The room had everything we...

If you are looking for old fashioned charm and service, the Anchor Inn is place for you. Beautiful House, well maintained, nice owners, perfect location. Short walk to town and to beaches, but far enough out of town to be quiet.

I have stayed at the Anchor Inn before and every time find it better. This time my daughter and I were greeted by both the owner, who gave us a rundown of where everything was, including refrigerator, insulated bags for use if you had a picnic lunch and beach towels, and by Dennis, who I believe is the manager this...

“The Wanderer on the first floor is a good size but wifi was not working. Some of the rooms upstairs have very small showers.”

“This is a small, 11 room, B&B and every room has its own bath. All the rooms at the Anchor Inn are good rooms. Making reservations well in advance, particularly in August, is vital because you can't get to Nantucket except by plane or boat. The airport is less than 3 miles from town and there are plenty of taxis. Most important about Nantucket is that you must be aware that you can't just make a travel choice on a moment's notice in summer, Not having to bring a car is also a plus because this island town is a walker's pleasure or a bike riders dream. There are so many bike paths.Nantucket also has a wonderful summer bus program that takes people back and forth to the ocean and around the island.”
