Clean, comfortable room; pleasant and helpful innkeeper; good breakfast; great location that was a few blocks from downtown and thus fairly quiet. Offers at least one room with two beds, which can be a challenge to find in a B&B or small inn.

We were guests at the Ships Inn on a rainy weekend and found both the location and staff to be exceptional. It's a short walk to the ferries and Main St (really short to get to Murrays) and the building is gorgeous. The walls of the room seemed a bit thin - you'll definitely hear noise in the hall and... Our ladies' group of 6 had another wonderful visit to this special spot. From being greeted at the door by Mary Lou and Bob and being shown to our beautiful rooms, everything was just perfect. As wonderful as the dinners are at the restaurant, Mary Lou's breakfasts are not to be missed. It is always such a treat to come... More

We enjoyed a lovely weekend at the Ship's Inn! Breakfast was hearty and tasty (would love to have that french toast bake recipe), the staff was very helpful, the room charming, and the bed excellent! Very convenient to town and the ferry, and we heartily recommend it! Also recommend going to the restaurant downstairs one night (or all the nights)... More

A lovely evening at Ships Inn with a few bumps. We were originally seating next to a raucous table of six who were loudly discussing "doing shots." We couldn't hear and asked to be moved. The staff was very gracious in accommodating our request for which we were grateful. The wait staff was willing but a bit over eager, asking... More

This B&B is more than that- it is a total experience! Romantic, clean, quiet- and breakfast! It is a total treat every morning! Ships Inn in located very close to town but not so close that you hear cars. You will love it!!! Make sure you make reservations for the restaurant in the inn- it is magnificent!

Enjoyed a wonderful stay of three nights at Ships Inn during July. Very comfortable accommodations, incredibly generous breakfast and kind and friendly staff made my visit so pleasant. The location is very convenient along quiet Fair Street. I am looking forward to returning! Thank you, Mary Lou, for delightful conversation!

We enjoyed our dinner at the Ships Inn. Everyone enjoyed their meals and thought the seafood was great. The restaurant is at the bottom of the inn. It is traditional but quaint. All and all we had a good meal here and would recommend it (particularly for family dinners or an older crowd). We tried the chocolate soufflé and found... More

This is the second time we have stayed at Ships Inn and once again it was lovely! Turn down service at night, an amazing homemade breakfast, beach towels are available, beautiful rooms, and a romantic restaurant for dinner, although we have yet to eat there. Mary Lou is so welcoming and available to answer any questions you may have. The... More

My family has been coming to Nantucket since the 1970s. As such we've had the privilege of testing out just about every establishment on the island and the Ship's Inn is one we come back to every single trip. Their bed and breakfast is the definition of hospitality with a full European style breakfast. They are exceptionally accommodating-and I can... More
