I once heard a story on NPR that reviews by locals are (contrary to what you might think) more reliable. Not sure if that's true, but I travel lots and we're from one town over and all I can say is that I love this place. I love the wide pine boards, the rich pigment of colors on slanting walls,...

The B&B and town are the perfect place for a peaceful restful stay. My wife and I loved the ambiance of so old a building, but thought it was overpriced compared to others we've stayed in the area this summer given no tv or a/c. The Inn at Norton Hill is a country-fresh and elegant old building. We have stayed there twice: once in the Yellow Room and once in the Blue Room. These rooms are both huge, with lots of windows and fresh air and good light. Both of these rooms have an extra single bed, which we used as a suitcase holder but...

The Inn at Norton Hill is a building built around the time George Washington was leaving office. As a result, it is quite old. Some parts of my review I consider negative. Other people may love the same things. So read carefully and make the decision you need. We visited there in April of 2011 and again in April 2012....
