Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our unit was just what we needed.
it provided two bedrooms with their own bathrooms and separated by a passage
The communal areas were well fitted out and all the equipment was in first class condition. Great care had been taken to provide first class utensils cutlery and crockery.
There was a magnificent view from the outside eating area as well as from inside.
Norfolk Island is scenically beautiful and historically fascinating.

We - 2 couples travelling together - were absolutely delighted with our decision to stay at Whispering Pines. We booked a 2 x bedroom, 2 x bathroom stand alone apartment which proved to be very well equipped, very spacious, in a beautiful quiet location only 800 meters from the start of the town area and almost across the road from the Botanical Gardens. We loved that there were only 2 other apartments in close proximity to ours and we were able to enjoy our breakfasts on the back patio overlooking the valleys with a glimpse of the sea. Thank you also to Management who conveyed messages to us from home (relating to family emergencies), this was much appreciated. All in all, we have no hesitation in recommending Whispering Pines for your Norfolk Island stay.

Everything we needed, including a picnic basket, was supplied by Whispering Pines. Location was great! The area around was quiet and relaxing. They organised car hire for us and it was waiting at the cottage. As we were 2 couples, the 2 bedroom cottage with 2 bathrooms was very suitable for our needs. Very clean. I would highly recommend Whispering Pines should you visit Norfolk Island! It’s a great place to visit!

Accommodation is good but just hope nothing happens that requires the owners help. Our flights were delayed due to a cyclone approaching and we needed an extra nights accommodation, but were told no. He needed to clean the apartments for the next visitors. What visitors? there were no flights coming in or out of Norfolk
We left and got better accommodation in a motel call seaview where the people were extremely nice and v helpful.

What a beautiful position these cottages have. Sitting on the back patio with a view over the valley was so peaceful and relaxing. Great setup in the 2 bedroom option as each is fitted with a large ensuite.
Everything that you could want is provided but the only thing that they could expand on was that as we were there during a warmer period there were no fans for the bedrooms which would have prompted me to give a 5 star rating.

I was recently on Norfolk Island working for 12 weeks and stayed at this address. The view is to die for. Beautiful sunrises, distant ocean views, mist/rain tracking up the gully and Norfolk Island pine trees draped in Grandfather Beard moss, with the occasional cow grazing next door.

The unit was warm/cool, fully equipped and extremely well maintained. The level of cleanliness was excellent and despite it being a 'holiday' rental the decor was warm and inviting.

I was supplied with a great quality automatic car which was well maintained. In 12 weeks I used 1 and 1/2 tanks of fuel despite driving all over the island.

If you are looking for an upmarket, quiet place to stay this is it.

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy

We loved the cabin, the scenery and the quiet. We could spread out and had plenty room. We were comfortable and had all we needed. The cabin was well stocked with all we needed crockery, pans etc. we even had a picnic basket which was a great idea as there were so many spots to picnic. Was a wonderful experience all round and the people so helpful and happy to have us. Thanks Norfolk Island.

Excellent accommodation and and well positioned with lovely views. Comfortable beds and very roomy cottage with the option of being fully self contained. Transfer from airport to accommodation was well organised and included a basic insight of what was around the area.

Whispering Pines has wonderful views of lush green norfolk pines and glimpses of water views.
We loved our stay at Whispering Pines. The accommodation was excellent with comfortable beds, and it has self-contained facilities as well as a bbq on the back patio.
