Jacaranda Park Holiday Cottages are fully self contained individual cottages set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens. COVID-19 has seriously impacted tourism on the island this year, although Norfolk Island itself has not had a single reported case thus far, so as soon as we from the mainland were free to travel, we immediately booked a 3-week stay at our favourite lodgings. We have visited Norfolk Island several times over the years and always stayed at Jacaranda Park Holiday Cottages. There are five cottages each being private and sheltered from the others. The whole environment is peaceful and quiet (except for roosters who obviously cannot tell the time). Our hosts, Bookie and Vanessa, are extremely friendly and accommodating, and maintain the cottages to the highest quality and cleanliness. The cottage is comfortable and has a well equipped kitchen, including a picnic hamper which we used frequently out on the reserves or beach areas.
Unfortunately, the reduced number of tourists due to COVID-19 restrictions has caused some shows and activities to be rescheduled or cancelled as not being viable. Similarly, not all hotels and eateries were open at the time of our visit. However, cafes and restaurants that were open provide excellent meals at very competitive prices. We particularly enjoyed meals at the Bowlo (Bowling Club), High Tide Cafe, and The Bounty Restaurant.
Norfolk Islanders are exceedingly friendly people which makes holidaying there so much more enjoyable. In addition, for such a small place, the Island is steeped in history, has picturesque walks and beautiful beaches with clear waters. One cannot fail but to return home refreshed and revitalised. We certainly chose the best possible accommodation available on the island (and as good as you will get on the mainland too) at a most reasonable rate. The hosts, Bookie and Vanessa were very friendly and most helpful and our unit (just one of 5) had a full kitchen with everything you would need. We also had a very efficient washing machine and dryer, dishwasher and large spa. The bed was most comfortable all rooms were large. Both the lounge and bedroom opened out onto a large elevated sun deck with a great view and shelter in case the sun was too hot or it rained. The surrounds were beautiful with tropical plants and path lighting. I could say more but I will leave that for you to discover. Why would you want to stay in a hotel room when this is a far better option.

Great location to explore the Island. Hosts Vanessa and Bookie were always on hand in case we needed anything but at the same time respected our privacy. Our cottage was just beautiful. Pristinely kept (l just had to ask for their cleaning tips!) No detail missed. Very private garden setting with a beautiful view from the bedroom and deck. The fully appointed kitchen and shared Weber BBQ made it economical to cater for ourselves as needed. We highly recommend holidaying at Norfolk Island and choosing to stay at Jacaranda Park Holiday Cottages.

We stayed in one of these wonderful cottages for seven nights. I cant speak highly enough of the comfort, level of cleanliness, location and inclusions. Bookie and Vanessa are warmly welcoming hosts and we felt immediately at ease, comfortable, and relaxed. The kitchen was well equipped with quality items, very comfortable bed, soft towels, and a level of cleanliness and maintenance we have not seen in our years of travel in Australia and overseas. Highly recommended by friends, we stayed for a week and have to say this was an excellent choice. If you are a couple looking for quality, space, facilities, outlook and comfort, look no further.
Exceptionally well maintained in a quite location, these 5 stand alone cottages offer great privacy and are an excellent spot to unwind. A well appointed kitchen, if you wish to cook, a large lounge and bedroom, spa and separate shower, with great balcony, the space was great.
A special word of thanks to the hosts, Vanessa & Bookie, very engaging and helpful, nothing was a problem. One strong recommendation, take the hire car option when booking, good value and very necessary to get around.

So pleased I decided on Jacaranda Park Cottages for our recent holiday. It lives up to its fantastic reviews.
Great communication and service when booking and prior to arrival. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by Vanessa, Bookie and their son all offering to assist with our luggage and settle us into our cottage.
You will relax from the second you drive onto the property and when entering the cottage the views, cleanliness and facilities will amaze.
Staying a week we enjoyed the homely feel of our cottage, the comfort of the bed/lounge/verandah, the peace and quiet and knowing if we needed anything all we had to do was ask.
Jacaranda Park cottages are in a great location on the island and extremely good value for money. Car hire is an option they offer (which we choose making it easy to get around the island) and being self contained they allow for a few home based meals when you cant be bothered eating out.
Highly recommend staying here for your visit to Norfolk Island. Thank you to Vanessa and Bookie for making our first trip so memorable.

Ten days at the cottage was such a vibrant and relaxing experience. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and inviting - something that was needed prior to returning home to the mainland madness of the Coronavirus. As it was adults only accommodation (no children) it made the stay very relaxing, quiet and enjoyable for the two of us. Vanessa and Bookie were friendly and welcoming hosts and informed us of great places to visit and dine. Would have no troubles recommending Jacaranda Park Holiday Cottages to any adults intending to visit Norfolk Island.

Our host (Bookie) meet us at the airport & escorted us to Jacaranda Lodge, from the moment we parked the car we were pleasantly surprised, the 5 cabins (all the same), are set in beautiful tropical gardens, very well appointed & spotlessly clean. All have magnificent valley views. We found the location is perfect, not on a main road, which added to the peace & quiet. Every possible inclusion is there for use (incl beach towels & a mobile phone for guest use with credit applied). We whole heartedly recommend any traveller to include Jacaranda Lodge to your list - FIRST CLASS ! We can't wait to return. My wife &I have just spent a wonderful week at Jacaranda Park. Bookie & Vanessa set the bar extremely high as hosts. The cottages are spotlessly clean & beautifully presented. They are equipped with everything you need for a memorable & comfortable stay, as well as some extras such as a stocked picnic basket and a cooler bag with freezer bricks. They have a full kitchen & double spa bath. The spacious bedroom opens onto a large veranda with wonderful views of a lush green valley leading down to the ocean. The cottages are located in a quiet area & are surrounded by beautifully maintained tropical gardens. Bookie & Vanessa are amazing hosts. Bookie met us at the airport and showed us to our hire car. He then led us back to the cottages where he & Vanessa gave us a full orientation to the cottage & the island. When our initial flight home was cancelled, Vanessa liaised with the airline & car hire company to get things sorted out for us without fuss. When the sad day came to leave, our hosts came to our room to personally farewell us. The island itself exceeded all our expectations. There is so much to see and do. The amazing beauty of the scenery combined with the fascinating history make it a wonderful place to spend a week or two. Throw in some great walking tracks and quality snorkelling & diving locations and you have an exceptional holiday location. We feel very lucky to have found the best accommodation on Norfolk for our first visit. Thanks so much Bookie and Vanessa.

There are walking trails over many parts of the island. The kingston historical area is a 5min drive from the cottages.
