A smiling Jim, bearing The Breakers placard, met us literally at door of airport and we followed him with luggage trolleys u the road to a beautifully lit and Bali reminiscent Breakers. Hand laid cobbled pathways, immaculate manicured lawns and garden paths lined with orchids and tropical plants led us to a roomy verandah with outdoor table and view of Pondok area. The room was better than photos and had everything needed and more for our 7 night stay. I think Jim is everything that one hopes to find in a host; no question was too silly and he went out of his way to be helpful yet discreetly getting on with keeping the grounds immaculate and managing all of the guests with the same consistent amiable attitude throughout our stay. His partner,Delta was also so helpful and both are an authentic young couple who clearly enjoy what they do.
The grounds are a peaceful enclave ful of greenery and shady nooks, private enough to do your own thing but arranged so that social chats are within reach if you are like us,who enjoy meeting other travellers. Most nights we cooked in the raised thatched outdoor BBQ area that was reminiscent of a Bali restaurant without the staff. Immaculate cooking griddled and stocked with past travellers condiments, the space was relaxing and intimate. Metres away were dining out options but I would spend the time researching opening days and times if you are not wanting to cook yourself as Island time and access to fresh ingredients are dictated by delivery days and subject to change. We thoroughly relaxed and although surprised that we couldn't receive texts or calls via our mainland carrier( Telstra), Messenger,Whattsapp,FB and Insta allowed us to stay in contact with our children and upload stunning photos to share. WiFi is surprisingly fast and I have read past reviews where guests were disappointed with this aspect but major upgrades have been done and you will find it fine for touching base or responding to work related queries if you are combing holiday and communications.
We arrived home today to Geraldton in Western Australia and are already thinking about our next stay at Breakers. Thankyou Jim and Delta; you honestly are an asset to The Breakers and went above and beyond to make our stay one to remember. Xxx Steph and Nick.

Easy walk from the airport and close to the tourist information centre and a number of restaurants and cafes. The rooms were very spacious and had a fridge and microwave and cutlery was supplied. There was a BBQ area if you wished to cook outside. The manager Jim was very helpful.

Best accommodation on the island!

Lush gardens that give you the Bali / tropical island feel, situated very well on the island close to shops just behind it, restaurants next door and a small walk up the road, ocean just behind, visitors centre literally across the road, heath centre just behind across the road and airport infront so you can watch the planes take off and land if you want to. Bird life wonder past everyday to say hello.

Rooms are well appointed and clean, full kitchen but no stove, oven or pots provided there is a toaster, kettle and microwave and the resort has bbq facilities also.

I stayed in #9 which was nicely tucked away and separate from the other accommodation, there are a couple of adjoining rooms which have seperate living sections but a joint deck area which would be good for familys or couples travelling together.

Overall a great place to stay and would highly recommend, we will definitely be back.

Breakers is a short stroll to eateries, the beach, grocery store, and tourist information centre. The rooms are air conditioned and have screened plantation shutters if you wish to enjoy the breeze instead. Each bungalow deck has a table and chairs to enjoy time outside. The outdoor BBQ area is a great place to catch up at the end of the day with fellow travellers.
The caretakers Delta and Jim were so friendly and made you feel very welcomed and at home.

Breakers Resort is a real little treasure of ten bungalows set in lovely gardens. A private oasis for adult guests, our bungalow was clean, comfortable, fully self contained and cool with wonderful shutters allowing the breezes to flow through. We had no need to even turn the air con on .
Our hosts Gail and Graham could not do enough to make our holiday memorable. They were welcoming, organised and enthusiastic about Cocos and its delights. We’ll be back.

Very comfortable, exceptionally clean.
Outdoor kitchen was excellent, plenty of room for a big group. Gardens well kept and pretty.

Supermarket next door.
Couldn't fault

Cocos Village Bungalows were the perfect mix of relax and comfort. The individual Bungalows were well positioned around a central communal area. Our group gathered under the Pondok shelters, traditional open walled structures made of local materials, for BBQ's, Sun-downers and meetings. They kept us dry when the torrential rains fell and cool from the tropical humidity and heat.
The bungalows themselves were spacious and well equipped. A hair dryer, large electric skillet, coffee plunger, clothes horse and one litre water thermos were just a few of the smaller items I found very useful.
The decor was "informal tropical"; wood paneled walls, fans (as well as effective air-con if needed), insect-proof louver windows, good pressure hot/ cold showers and very clean bathroom.
Drinking water was superb straight from the tap. No need to buy bottled water. Lots of space in the fridge and freezer to chill drinks for those day trips to neighboring Islands and beaches.
Best of all, the Bungalows are in walking distance to almost everything: bike hire, information center, bakery, eateries, Cocos Club (pub), grocery store, and even a hop, skip & jump to the airport. We just wheeled our luggage and surf boards from the arrivals lounge to the Bungalows. Since there are only a few flights per week there was no issue with noise from the runway.
The bed was comfy... and that's coming from a person with sleep and back issues.
Our hosts, Mark and Kaylene, were helpful and available in all aspects of our stay.
Mark was particularly patient with our teenage boys, who were keen to try out their machete skills on coconuts.
I highly recommend CVB accommodation.

What a beautiful place to stay, our suite had a kitchen with microwave, fridge and electric frying pan. The screens meant that the windows could be opened and the table and chairs were a great place to sit.
The Breakers are centrally located, a short walk to airport, supermarket (very basic) , Visitors Centre and the bus stop ( which can take you to the jetty for Day trips to Home and Direction Islands)
We had breakfast and lunch items with us as there are some limited ( but delicious!) dining options

Fabulous place to stay on West Island amongst tropical gardens. Everything thing you will need for a comfortable relaxed stay. Walking distance to airport, general store , pub , golf club and across the road from the beach to catch the sunset each day Nothing was to much trouble for Delta and Jim who were there to help with all things Cocos, you can’t beat their local knowledge.
