We stayed at Gibson's Lodgings for three nights and were very happy with the accommodation. The bedroom was a generous size, the bed comfortable and the en suite bathroom clean and well equipped. We had a room at the front, overlooking the street, which proved a little noisy in the early morning, when rubbish collections were made. We would choose... More

In the car now after having just left Gibson's--that's how important it is to me to leave a review on this lovely place. I moved from Annapolis almost 4 years ago now and my fiance' and I were back in town for a wedding. I had the choice to stay with my parents outside of the city, or stay at... More

This could not be better located. If one wants to discover historic Annapolis this is a superb choice. It's located a very few yards away from the Naval Academy and most restaurants and historic sites are within blocks. The rooms are not large but they are decently appointed. Although there are no hot items for breakfast other than waffles that... More

What a perfect little find! We've stayed in Annapolis many times, but never at a bed and breakfast. Our new favorite place to come and explore this charming little town! So convenient to all there is to see. The Naval Academy, the many shops and restaurants, and even the Annapolis boat show which was why we were in town this... More

My sister and I just completed a trip to Washington DC with a quick but relaxing two-night stay at Gibson's Lodgings of Annapolis, one of the Historic Inns. We chose room #6 in the Patterson House (one of three buildings) -- very roomy including two comfortable chairs and a desk, up just six steps from the dining and common rooms.... More

The location is near the gate to the U. S. Naval Academy and close to the City Dock in downtown Annapolis. Gibson's offers free parking, a nice continental breakfast with fresh fruit, waffles, breads, bagels, muffins, coffee. Three buildings are available with various sized rooms. A patio and a deck add to the appeal. There are no elevators though in... More

If you are looking for a place close to the Academy and downtown, this is your place. * proximity to Academy: the "wall" is adjacent to the property * proximity to downtown: one block * rooms: this is where they lose points. Our room was very small, limted clothes hangers. With 2 suitcases, it was so cramped. Only one small... More

My wife and I stayed at Gibson's for just one night but the experience was so great I had to leave a review. First, the location is awesome: right off Ego Alley, within walking distance of lots of restaurants, shops, and water taxis. It's only a 15 min uphill walk to the Maryland capitol. Due to the one-way streets, it's... More

I had never been to Annapolis, although my husband had, so we decided to spend our anniversary there for a few days. We chose Gibson's Lodgings because we like B&Bs and it was well rated, and close to the water. It turned out to be a quite lovely place, in walking distance to restaurants, bars, shopping, right around the corner... More

The Gibson was in a perfect spot, across from the Naval Academy and a block or so from the dock and Main Street in Annapolis. Many many good restaurants and shops within walking distance. Easy parking area for all hotel guests.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are fully remodeled and under new ownership as of December 2010. The three houses on the property, circa 1770, 1890, 1988, offer 20 rooms as well as a small meeting room. This is a great and distinctive place to stay while learning about the abundant history of the Annapolis area. We are conveniently next to the Naval Academy and only a half block from the City Docks. Two of the buildings are historic town houses: the Patterson (a 1760s Federal Georgian with 5 rooms and our main office & dining room) and the Berman (a 1890s house with a porch and 9 bedrooms, one equipped for travelers with disabilities). Behind them is the Lauer House, a 1988 addition with six king suites, a full kitchen and a sitting room that can serve as a meeting room. Filled with both antiques and reproductions, the bedrooms are of varying sizes. A central patio and courtyard serve as a common area for all three buildings. We offer free courtyard parking with your stay and a continental breakfast (including a hot waffle bar) each morning from 7:30-10:30. All our rooms are air-conditioned and have free Wi-Fi access along with flat-screen televisions, hair dryers and access to an iron and ironing board. A selected number of rooms are pet friendly with a $35 fee. ... more   less
