Casco Viejo(old city) is a vibrant section of Panama city with lots of restaurants bars shops and night life. Casa Sucre is right in the thick of it, hence location wise it's amazing. The coffeeshop downstairs is also really nice also and the owners are amazing. The accommodations won't blow you away, but were better than average. I really enjoyed... More

INNKEEPER’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

We loved this hotel -- for location, comfort of accommodations, helpful and friendly owners (Richard and Alyce), great breakfast, etc. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. This is a little haven of peace and quiet in the Casco. (It's not as if the Casco is a crazy place, but it's exceptionally quiet at this hotel for such a central city... More

We bookended our trip in Panama City with Casa Sucre. We've never been to Panama before but knew we didn't want a high rise or casino hotel. This is in a perfect location for walking to everything. Room was very clean, good wifi, water pressure and plenty of hot water. They also run the amazing coffee shop at the corner... More

We stayed here for 3 days in March 2015. We got one of the duplex apartments in the back courtyard. It was clean, very spacious, quiet, good water pressure in the shower, and good wifi. The location is great, right in the middle of Casco Viejo. Breakfast was included in the cafe Casa Sucre round the corner in the same... More

Casa sucre boutique hotel is superbly located on the edge of casce viejo within walking distance of the mercado de mariscos. We had an excellent four days wandering around the old quarter finding restaurants, bars and picturesque vistas after a few days on contadura island. We enjoyed our stay but will be tempted to explore our hotel options more widely... More

We stayed 5 nights in their suite on the ground floor. We shared a charming courtyard with two other suites. Our suite had wonderful high ceilings, well equipped kitchen, better than most. The coffee house is delightful. The owners Richard & Alyce Sherman are helpful, gracious and have hired a great group of people to assist them in running the... More

We had a very ambitious vacation schedule cramming as much as possible into our short 3 day stay at this lovely property. The host were very accommodating of our late arrival and early departures by providing a "to go" breakfast the nights before. Also upgraded us from the room we booked just because the larger room wasn't booked. That was... More

What a special find! Our family of five spent nine days in Panama, based out of this magical boutique hotel in the heart of Casco Viejo. We had arranged many day trips to the jungle and islands and canal (through Xplora), but were so happy that we were based in the historic colonial city where we could experience the contrasting... We spent 3 nights at Casa Sucre in the loft apartment. If you are going to stay in Casco Viejo, this property is very centrally located to all the attractions plus it feels really safe due to the number of uniformed police officers and the design of the hotel. Casco Viejo can be somewhat loud during the late evening hours.... More
