This hotel meets my needs fully, regarding value for money and location. It is a fairly ok 3 star hotel. It is not up to date decorations and standard, but here you can get a suite with a great view cheaper than other hotels standard room. From Your windows you will see the Maiden square where it all happened in 2014. Out of the door YOU are in walkable distance to very much. Or You can ask the reception to call you an UBER (because taxis in the street will for sure overcharge YOU - much). All rooms are equipped with Aircondition - in summer (May - Sep) this is needed.
Second time in this hotel and we had a big suit overlooking the Independence square. Clean but a little old inside. Great breakfast and nice helpful staff. Only bad thing, you can't pay your stay with card.
Below average hotel (2-3 star) with reluctant and slow staff, but very reasonably priced. However, I have stayed in better hotels for the same money in Ukraine. There is definitely lack of design and commodities, design is an old 90’s era with no renovations since then.
We stayed 4 nights and had 3 rooms with balconies on 3rd and 4th floor. The roomsize and bathroom size was medium but ok. Breakfast buffet was ok, not excellent. Reception staff spoke good english. We did not book the cheapest rooms and were happy with what we got. The hotel location was excellent,- walking distance to many sights, restaurants, bars, etc.
The staff is friendly but they don't speak English(apart from reception's people). The location is great at independence square. The rooms are old. The bath is not functional and old enough. If you need hot water you have to wait at least 10 min(6 floor) . Moderate breakfast. No phone in the room!! Problem with wifi especially in the breakfast area.
