My friend and I came on our first visit ever to Kiev June 18, 2016. This place is hot (no a/c despite manager's promise to turn it on), noisy (2nd floor, windows open, on a major cobblestone downtown street), dirty. I have been in perhaps a hundred hostels from Mongolia to South Africa to Nicaragua, to Colombia. No curfew, no...

The owner is almost every day drunk. He never opens the door for new bookings. Every night when he knows there are people with money, then he organises pub crawl, he made everyone pay, but he never pays for anything.. He even kept my deposit for the key, because they had no money in the hostel. One of the girls...

Achim is a great host, immediately taking us to his favourite restaurant upon arrival. This is one of the nicest hostels I've ever been to, very clean, and spacious. It is also very close to the city centre, and a five minute walk from the metro station. With the windows closed you cannot hear the road at all. I came...

I took a bus to Kiev (not recommended) and when I arrived in the morning I was frazzled and sleep deprived. I called the owner and he was sooooo unbelievably helpful in showing me how to get to the hostel. We have a small kitchen with a refrigerator in the room which is super helpful and the mega market grocery...

there seems to be many people who came to kiev to just get drunk and pick up girls. Everyday people just drink, they dont even wash, smelly room and people. Owner doesnt stop feeding people to get drunk. I would not visit again.

We stayed there for 3 nights and I really enjoyed it. Even with -20 degrees was really warm inside and everything was clean. Staff is really helpful and fun! Taking care of you like you were some old friends coming to visit :) not far from central Kiev and metro station is only few minutes away. And across the road...

A cozy place with all basic amenities and the nicest atmosphere you can find in a hostel. The owner sure knows how to make everyone feel at home. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about anything in Kiev or Ukraine. Sometimes there are free dinners and there are regular pub crawls depending on the mood of guests. It's not...

Stayed here for one night. Friendly manager, really helpful. Room and kitchen really clean. Bathroom is a bit icky due to the summer heat and not having a fan and room had no curtains, but otherwise good basic hostel. Could be a bit more clearly marked but this is par for the course in Ukraine.
