The hotel is huge and old stylish. You can smell the spirit of soviet union one every corner. Probably not the best value of the money in the city, but if you like this atmosphere and strong breakfast in the morning this is the right place.

This Hotel will give you a real old Soviet Vibe! And the price is right at 25 euros a night.. We stayed there 2 nights. It has a old Soviet Style Bar open all night.. No waitress, you just to up the counter and get what ever you wish fairly cheap! 100 grams of Vodka 25 Lei. Lots of Italians... More

Both the outside and inside of this place take you right back to the soviet days: concrete exterior, large imposing foyer, long dark corridors and basic rooms. But there are differences. Front desk reception was cheery and efficient and the bathroom had running hot water. This is not a flash hotel, but is clean, comfortable (in a basic way). I... More

Don't let the outside fool you. It looks old and a little run down but that couldn't be further from the truth. Inside it's spotlessly clean and very spacious. The biggest plus for this hotel are the staff, very friendly and very helpful. The rooms were of average size but clean and comfortable. The location is also perfect, close to... More

While the hotel has seen better days it offers a comfortable stay and is good value. Everyone at the front desk, especially Anatasia, was friendly and very helpful and service requests were met very quickly. The Cosmos is located about a 20 minute walk from the city's main attractions. There's a supermarket next door. A flea market. the main train... More

I stayed at the Cosmos Hotel for three nights in September 2016, paying a total of around 55 GBP. A buffet breakfast was included in that price. Great value for money in my view. The first thing that has to be said is that the Cosmos is to a large extent still stuck in the past. On checking in, I... More

The last place that I would expect to be recommending is a huge monolithic ex-Inturist high-storey hotel in the heart of one of Europe's least-visited and least-loved countries. However, I am recommending it because never before have I visited a hotel where I was so well looked after and made to feel so welcome. The saying "You will come as... More

Hotel Cosmos is a great base for a city break in Chisinau. The hotel is very true to its soviet history with concrete, shiny features and dated carpets. While the bed was uncomfortable (for my tastes) at first, the staff responded quickly to add a soft pad to the bed. What more could you want? The service is excellent -... More

I'm leaving the hotel with such a sad heart. The reason is pretty simple - I just like everything down here. I mean, everything - great location, cleanliness, great view from a balcony, tasty breakfasts made of ever fresh food, quiet and efficient air conditioner, and, most of all daily warm yet professional care and assistance in all possible matters... Is is what it is and I really like the place. Yep it's concrete and very cold war ish but it doesn't pretend not to be. Solid breakfasts, good rooms, all the retro concrete chic you could wish for and very handy for the train station. Really friendly and helpful reception staff make the place.
