---This hotel just earned the top Croatian “Hotel of the Year “Award! Stay here and you’ll see why. And from what I’m told, it’s not the first time they earned this award.
---I love the check-in situation - all sit down desks - no stand-up counters.

We stayed for three nights for Advent in Zagreb and found everything about the hotel to be perfect. The service is polished and friendly - efficient and professional. The bar staff were friendly and always amused us! Great service with a smile!

Really nice hotel if you like good old fashioned service and nostalgia! Pretty good location for getting in and around the city (walking) also near to the train and bus station if needed. The hotel itself is old style decor with marble, dark wood etc but has a really nice atmosph

The Superior Room at the Esplanade Zagreb Hotel
Previous
hello: we are planning to visit Zagreb next year and planning to stay at this hotel for 5 nights. Does 5 nights enough for our stay? we want to know few things before booking this hotel. 1) Is it walking distance to central city (main square) How long it will take? 2) we read that there is underground mall next to the hotel? what is the name of the mall and how long it is open and whether there are any food courts (food outlets) there? 3) what is included in the breakfast? eggs/waffles/pastries/bread/butter/jam/tea/fresh fruits/fresh fruit juices/any other hot dishes? what time is the breakfast? 4) we are planning to book their superior room. Do they give free water bottles per day? Is there a tea/coffee makers in the room? 5) How is the weather in May? 6) How much is the taxi from airport to the hotel? (this is for the hotel employees: How much the hotel charges to pick us from the airport to the hotel?) How long is the trip? 7) what else to see in the town? Is there a day trip to nearby places/towns? Thanking you very much in advance. our best regards from: LALANIS
Yes, the hotel is in the city center, literally next door to the train station and about a 5 minute walk to the central square. The underground mall next to the hotel is not very interesting, it's just pizza shops and kiosks, sort of the equivalent of a U.S. strip mall. The hotel buffet breakfast is pretty good, lots of options. 30 minutes by taxi from the airport, about $20 U.S. Zagreb is a nice city, but you don't really need more than three or four days. If you're trip is longer than that, I'd plan to go to Kopacki or Rijeka or the coast for a few days. Hope this helps.

We will be visiting in September and our train arrives late, about 9 PM. Are restaurants open late in Zagreb? If they close early, do you offer room service at that time? Probably will not get to hotel till 10pm. Thank you.
Dear Linda, Le Bistro and Zinfandel's restaurants are open until 11 pm and the room service is available to our guests 24/7.

Hi...I will be staying at this hotel end of April....just hotel and no meals. When I was looking online I think the breakfast alone was around £35 or did I misread. Anyway I opted for bed only as I will be on my own... Any tips where to eat as I will be on a tight budget....any other tips for me as a single traveller..
Dear LILITHEPINK01, The cost of the lavish breakfast is 24 Eur per person at Zinfandels' restaurant - it is a mix of buffet and a la carte meals. There is an option to choose something from the Room Service menu if you prefer smaller breakfast. Le Bistro offers a la carte breakfast (eggs, cereals, toast, etc. ) - please feel free to contact the concierge or some other employe to present all of the options in person. In the city you can find many cafes and restaurants that offer similar concept - I am sure you will find your perfect combination for a nice start of the day.
