We stayed for four nights with our young daughters in the junior suite. Though the decor is not exceptional, the paintings which line the staircase and elsewhere give the place charm..The staff mostly speak good English and are really helpful and friendly. The location is very central and you can walk to many places. While the breakfast was nothing exceptional...

The location is perfect, right in the center of the city. There is only one bed in a double room and it is 1,40cm wide. Apparently all standard double rooms have the same type of bed. Unless you know your travel companion very well, you will feel rather ackward. Otherwise it is comfortable enough, just very narrow. Service is smileless...

There were many things I liked about the hotel: Rooms are very large, modern and clean, with comfortable beds. The internet was free -- and worked. The location is great -- close to museums and restaurants. I cannot compare to other hotels in Sofia except on price: maybe just getting a hotel with just these traits is a marvel. Although...

I got a very good rate at aavacations.com, and based on the previous comments we headed for Arte Hotel in beautiful Sofia. We had a standard room, small but impecable clean. The reception people made our stay much more enjoyable, gave us ideas for restaurants and places to visit. The hotel is within walking distance to virtually all the tourist...

I've stayed in a number of hotels in Bulgaria and this is one of the best. It's very close the the city centre and nearly opposite the Presidency. The rooms are reasonably sizeable, very clean and well kept. Staff are friendly and efficient with a reasonable command of English. The buffet breakfast is typically Bulgarian, lots of ham and cheese...

There are certainly worse places to be marooned than this hotel in Sofia. We booked it very last minute as we were stranded and were delighted with the assistance of the staff, quality of the accomodation and proximity to the CBD and sites. Room was very spacious with large, comfy bed (one of the best we have had), separate 'sitting...

Helpful staff, walking distance to so many places of interest. Only negative the room was too warm but in January better that than cold.

I am traveling a lot to Sofia (every 2nd week) and tried many different hotels. I made some very interesting experiances, but mainly it is the very low level of service quality in most of the hotels. Hotel ARTE is a total different experiance. The service is up to International standards and extraodinary compared to usual BG standards that it...

While Sofia is not that big, we did find the Arte Hotel well placed for both sightseeing and shopping. We were here to see the sights, but we wanted to spend the last day shopping for clothes. Vistosha Street seems to be the shopping street downtown. The room we choose (we looked at three) was at the front of the...
