Very close to the center of Sofia (10 min walking to Vitosha street). We paid 76 leva (1lv = 0.50 euro) for a double room with separate beds breakfast included. The price is good for the area. The hotel is owned by the state.Big parking lot. They speak english. You can only pay in leva (no credit cards accepted). The...

I' was dissapointed about this hotel! 1.The food was the same every day , and not very good ! 2. the elevators was small and working very bad , was very hard to get one in special in the morning ( breakfest time ) . 3. the pool was small, but ok ! 4. the refrigerator from our room was...

The Shipka is state owned, and you can only pay in Bulgarian Lev for the room. It cost me 57 Lev, ,or about 28 Euro. It was well worth it, as all I needed was a base to tour sofia. The bed was a little on the hard side, but the facilities at the hotel more than compensated for it....
