The hotel was a basic standard business hotel. It was clean but it was definitely getting a bit "scruffy". The metal (who has metal doors?) door to the bathroom had rust breaking through; the grouting needed replacing and the carpet definitely needed a good deep clean. The thermostat was set at 28 degrees. Even with the window open, the heat...

I stayed there with my high school students. The service, the food, and the whole atmosphere was very good. It has a great gym and swimming pool and extra massage and sauna facilities. I recommend it to everyone who wants a descent and comfortable staying in Sofia.

We stayed in Ramada Sofia for three nights during our short city break in Sofia. We had mixed experience on this hotel, both good and bad. Arriving from SOF by pre-booked taxi to the hotel at midnight and it costed only Lev 15.00. This is a large hotel, located around 20 minutes walking distance from Sofia city centre (Serdika). If...

Doesn't matter if you guarantee your check in with credit card, everytime you order something from the hotel you need to fight with them to ask them to charge it in your room. After the fight and internal communications between them, finally they find out that you have credit. Of course if you can communicate with them because English is...

Ive stayed in several Ramada properties which I usually adore, and what was worse than this property was the attitudes of the staff. Seems like they all got frozen n cold in the winter! Giving information or guest service is obviously a foreign concept to them. The room had a view of nothing but a wall on the 4th floor!...

Sofia was just a bonus on a trip back from Athens, using cheap Ryanair flights. I didn’t bother to look for an optimal hotel but just booked a big hotel that taxis would find. The place still have a communist time feel to it, and the breakfast room is like a down market resort, but the room is very comfortable...

Good location near train station and bus terminus. Within walking distance of the city centre. Friendly and helpful check-in staff, though we had some communication difficulties. Our room was refurbished and an improvement on a previous visit. However, the aircon is set and could not be regulated. A good buffet breakfast, but the dining area could become quite crowded. Dinner...
