Hotel Rodina is a very nice hotel. It is the highest hotel in Sofia and in the Balkans. It offers its guests many comfortable rooms. The staff is so kind. The foods is delicious. The view is perfect. It is situated in the heart of the city.

We stayed at the Rodina Hotel for just one night a while back. We arrived late and left early the beds were comfy and clean nice view on to the mountains from our room. The staff were nice and polite, like I said good for one night.

Well our expectations were low, so we weren't disappointed, mores the pity. I would assume 15 years ago it would have been a nice upto date place to stay, unfortunately it has had too much care and update since. The rooms were not the best and the A/C didn't work, because we were on the 9th floor you couldn't open...

If it looks like a budget hotel and smells like a budget hotel ... then (as the saying goes) It's probably a budget hotel! Rooms are OK (as long as you don't want any working air conditioning), was up far too late to attempt a breakfast so can't comment on the food but the bar staff were helpful and friendly...

What a dump, I cannot begin to describe the place, generally I do not post negative comment on here unless I believe it has to be said, this place needs demolishing and rebuilt with a no smoking policy, the rooms are as basic as a borstal, beds as uncomfortable as hell and the entire place stinks like an ashtray, ....

This hotel is stuck in a time warp. Upon entrance you are greeted by an era which has clearly been forgotten. Staff were rude and unwelcoming although we were a stag do full of 22 blokes, nobody was rude rowdy or obnoxious as let's face it you don't want unwanted attention when you are leaving valuables etc in a hotel...

The hotel is in the right place, is't only 10 minutes to city centre, less than 5 minutes to Sofia Mall, and you can find nice coffee shop near it with only local visiters (glad to have been there). Rooms are outdated but comfortable and clean, not exactly 4 star hotel if you used to visit countries with higher standards....

If you don't expect standard of a true 4 star hotel, the hotel's okay for a couple of nights. Breakfast is good, lots of different types of food, and the city center is within 10-15 minutes on foot. Nice view of the city from higher floors. Our room was warm, spacious and had a seating area and a fridge in...

Don't expect a 4 star hotel.. It's more like 3 stars.. We've read the reviews before coming so we weren't surprised as some people in our group. The hotel is really big with very nice lobby. Our room was on the 17th floor. Room pros: wonderful view, window you can open for fresh air, spacious bathroom, seating area in the...

“City view, Top view”

“Rooms on higher floors are great for the view, any side. We were at the 17th and the picture of the city reaching to the mountains is spectacular. Beautiful place, not much local people outside , though. Maybe the reason was the low temperature outside.”
