What makes it special are the staff that work there. Always happy to help and they are so friendly and kind. In this regard they are the best I have ever encountered. The location is great and the breakfast is great.
Great location in The heart of Sarajevo, staff is very helpful, and friendly, with smile and good humor. Room is very clean, food is good. Staff Will do everything to make your stay really Nice, you can feel The Bosnian warm soul and hospitality.
We stayed for one night recently in Sarajevo, and the Hotel Astra provided two key elements: clean and well-located in the old part of the city. The room was dated, and we had the unique experience of a queen bed consisting of three thin mattresses! The bathroom would have been more suited to a caravan park, but provided the essentials. On the plus side, the desk clerk was amazing: efficient, humorous, and a joy to be around!
This was my first visit to Sarajevo and this hotel - although basic by UK standards - was very well located right on the cusp of the ottoman and Austro-Hungarian quarters. Clean and with good facilities it was fine for the coupe of nights we were there. The restaurant is very small however and at times when full was a challenge. Breakfast was limited - the chance to order fresh eggs etc. would have been nice. Overall though I would return.
I had such a great time in this hotel. Hotel room was huge, spacious under the roof with great facilities. Furniture was nice and in old style which i like it. Hotel is connected with bar so you can have a coffee and have a great time talking to staff. I have had so much laugh and fun. Receptionist were very helpful, very knowledgeable and great to talk to. Breakfast was fine nothing like in 5 star hotel but was tasteful and they can cook for you fresh eggs which i love. So if you are looking for a hotel in great location with fun this is right spot for you.
