The hotel itself is pretty decent. I mean, if they would clean rooms better and fix some broken things it could be quite close to 5 stars. But the quality of service... it's awful! Here is the story: On the first morning of my stay a waiter told me, that I can have my breakfast early in the morning, and then I'm welcome to come for coffee and a snack until 10:30 AM. (Essentially, it’s ok to come have breakfast while the breakfast is being served, regardless of how many times you come) The next morning I came there at 10:00 (after having breakfast earlier in the morning) and the restaurant manager told me, that I'm only allowed to have coffee - no snacks. I decided to double check the policy with the front desk, and they reiterated that I can come for breakfast any amount of times, because it's a buffet, and it's included in the price of the room. The next day, the restaurant manager told me that front desk knows nothing, and that the rules are pretty strict - one breakfast, plus coffee. So, I got it, fine. However, when I came for my coffee the next morning... this same manager literally yelled at me, “I’ll charge you! Go away!" THE MANAGER YELLED AT ME! In a 5-star hotel. Can you imagine this? What happened after was even more ridiculous! The general manager of the hotel apologised for that type of behaviour and told me, "I'll arrange something for you". When I was checking out the next day, I asked the front desk manager whether the GM did arrange something for me. "Well, you could get anything you want in the lobby bar…” I looked at her in disbelief, because I was leaving the hotel and clearly did not need anything from there at that time. She simply shrugged her shoulders and said, “we had issues with the phone, so we couldn't tell you about it". Face-palm. Building - 4* Service - 2* Total - 3*. Not more. If you respect yourself - stay away.

I got the Swiss advantage room, very spacious with great Mountain View’s. The hotel was clean and had good service. Air conditioning was good unlike other hotels in the country. Breakfast buffet was ok. It’s a bit far from the old town, a 30 minute walk. But the good thing is it’s connected to a nice mall and is steps away from another shopping mall. It’s a 20 minute drive from airport.

We stayed for almost a week in Sarajevo at the Swissotel and were really pleased with our choice! I loved the colors and modern layout of the room with a beautiful open view of the hills. We reserved two interconnecting rooms, which were very comfortable and well appointed for our family of four. I do want to highlight that the service was one of the best experiences we've had at a hotel. We needed to get information on Covid testing because we were headed to Serbia next and weren't sure of the requirements. Adi at the front desk went out of his way to make calls to various consulates and government agencies to find out we didn't need the testing in the end. Most hotels wouldn't help their guests that much and we really appreciated it. All the front office staff, including Adi, Minela and Aldin, who helped with our reservations, were extremely kind and helpful to us. Taxis came within minutes and we could easily reach the whole city. It's also nice to have the shopping center adjacent to the Swissotel. We highly recommend this beautiful hotel!

We stayed for two nights in the executive suite and it was very nice. The service is so kind and they try to read every wish before you can say anything. The room was breathtaking and the spa and breakfast was great! Would definitely stay again here although the price is uper level.

Sarajevo Swissotel is a new property, not too far from the city center. Looks like it is one of the top and most expensive Sarajevo hotels, My experience is extremely positive. This is especially true for the personnel. I don't remember where I experienced such a genuine hospitality, competence, kindness, and all that can be attributed to a large number of personnel I interacted with during my 3 nights stay. Obviously, HR did great job of choosing and training employees. I arrived with the car which was immediately taken care of by the very courteous valet for additional charge. Check in was quick and pleasant as receptionist introduced me to the property while doing the necessary paperwork. I booked Swiss advantage room which is very spacious and comfortable. Floor to ceiling glass wall provides lots of natural light. As many commented before, bed is on hard side. This is not first Swissotel I am using and I don't remember sleeping on such a hard mattress before. Bathroom is big with separate toilet and shower cubicles as well as two vanity spaces. There is enough proper storage spaces. TV set is fairly big with decent choice of local and international programs offered. Lighting control is a bit difficult to comprehend, at least for me. Breakfast offered is quite good, nothing exceptional, though. Hotel also offers a la carte dining in it's The Fusion restaurant. I was not impressed with the menu nor with the food I got, but dishes I eat were fairly good. There is also the cafe in the lobby that offers non alcoholic beverages and cakes. Hotel is attached to the shopping mall with decent number of shops. If you decide to walk to the Bascarsija, it should take about 20 minutes of pleasant walk, or you may take taxi or tram. Hotel's Spa is very nice and offers small indoors pool, sauna, gym, salt room... For some reason, this hotel is biased towards Arab and Muslim patrons. This is reflected in the food offered, which is halal, and, consequently, alcohol is not available.
