We stayed here at the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020 just as the world was going into lock down. The hotel itself was amazing. The staff spoke great English and the breakfast was great. I slept in one day and to my surprise one of the staff members had saved me a plate of food! Will definitely stay here again if in Sarajevo. Rooms are massive with a great size bed.
A great little hotel. Staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. A major big point is the fact the breakfast were incredible. So much choice, and for me I ate so much I didn't need any lunch. Breakfast was simply amazing. The hotel is situated on a hill so with lugguge I recommend a taxi if traveling from the tram stop. However overall amazing stay
I would not want to stay here if I am ever back in the amazing city of Sarajevo. Normally used to chain hotels (Hilton Diamond member), smaller hotels like Hotel Aziza do have their challenges considering their size but at times some advantages too. Here is my experience with this hotel. Pre Arrival Tried to call the hotel to inform them of our late night arrival. No luck only to find next day that the sole hotel number, being wifi based, is erratic and telephone link is not then available. Well, why not also provide a cell number as well. Check-in Excellent. Polite and informative. Did though asked for a security deposit when asking for an extra card sensor key so my wife could have a key as well. Rooms We had 2 rooms for 2 nights. One for my wife and I and the other for our son. Rooms were nice, large and well decorated. No complementary water given during the stay. There were no black out curtains to block the daylight sun. And unluckily, the toilet flush stopped working the first day (continously leaking water tank), and got repaired but the repair lasted half a day and same issue cropped up. Luckily we had another room toilet at our disposal. And some towels are near their life’s end. Breakfast Less said about breakfast, the better it would be, as nothing spectacular about it. Asking for an omlette became a major sin and it took nearly half an hour to get it cooked when no other guest was there. Next day we decided to skip breakfast altogether. CHECKOUT My son was tasked to take our luggage to the car parked across the road while my wife and i were still in the room getting ready to leave. He was blocked at the door by a bouncer looking individual, checking on him why payment had not been made as he was moving the luggage. Had to go and explain that we were still in and checkout payment for both rooms was under our account. Stubborn as he looked, he had no words of regret for his misbehavior. All in all, not a pleasant experience and us being late in life, walking up a steep hill the hotel is located on, is a struggle. Hotel gladly arranges a taxi to go out from the hotel, but getting a taxi back for to hotel is another story.…
This is a quaint hotel with a love story connected to it. The room was spotless clean and the service people were there, but not overly friendly. They are all probably suffering from PTSD. The breakfast was mediocre and the coffee was horrible. The hotel sits atop a very steep hill that goes into the main square. I couldn't walk back to the hotel for a rest or after a tour, so I had to call a cab to get back. In order to make this an excellent hotel they would only have to improve the breakfast, buy a coffee pot, and a gulf cart to shuttle tourist up and down the hill.
