We stayed for 3 nights in January prior to our cruise. I had read many reviews and as we got closer to date of departure the reviews seemed to get worse. We had booked many months before and had a non-refundable room so canceling was not an option. We arrived between 6 and 7 am and as would be expected...

Papeete is well named as in Polynesian it means water basket and it is a low lying port which is the capital of tahiti. The island of tahiti itself acts as a launching pad for some of the beautiful islands such as Rangiora, Bora Bora and Moorea. Papeete should not be looked at as a holiday destination but merely a...

Stayed here twice in 2 months. It's very quiet, subdued... Not much beach, not near anything at all. Food was ok, it is "European and modest". No nightlife, no disco, nothing to do except watch fish in the lagoon. Rooms are clean, staff is nice, perhaps a little indifferent. Not many screaming kids. Internet is very poor. So if you...

I am so sorry I booked this hotel. The best thing I can say about it is that it was clean, and the beds comfortable. Everything else fulfilled the definition of "shabby." The lobby has worn wooden floors and stained carpet. The decor is a red-and-black nightmare. There is a lily pond suspended over the restaurant below the lobby level--weird....

We stayed at this hotel for several days while waiting for a cruise. It is listed as an SPG five star property - not even close! The property is tired and in need of considerable upgrade to be on a close par with other Meridian properties that we have stayed at. Our room was adequate, but not what we would...
