The hotel was beautiful and customer service incredible. I would particularly like to thank Lui, Sera and Lucy for their kindness and warmth. I have dietary needs - gf/df and they did their very best to accomodate this. I have had a wonderful stay!

This is a gorgeous hotel in a wonderful location right on the water. We did not stay here but, we enjoyed a wonderful quiet lunch on their outside back deck. The staff here are most friendly and will help whenever asked. The back deck is in a beautiful location with a beautiful view of the pool and the ocean. We ordered the Fish & Chips Special which was a generous portion and the fish was delicious. They also offer wifi for a nominal charge.

The GPH is a grand old Dame. Her beautiful architectural features are balanced with modern lines and comfort. The staff are warm and friendly and youre greeted with a smile the moment you arrive. The small terrace on our ground floor room overlooked the garden and pool area and we easily wandered to the waters edge to take in the sunset. Take the option to include breakfast in your package. The buffet is well presented and its lovely sitting on the outdoor terrace in the morning. Basic coffee is included but there is an additional charge for anything other else. The room was large and the bathroom spacious. The shower pressure was wonderful. The bed was a king and while comfortable was clearly a little on the old side with the springs non existent on the bottom corner of the bed – which didn’t impact our ability to sleep – and we did sleep well here. Free parking onsite and though we stayed during a busy time (State visit by the NZ PM), we never had a problem finding a space. The complimentary 10 minute foot massage was a lovely bonus however the treatment itself lacked pizazz. More like a foot rub than a massage, but we walked out with moisturised and deliciously smelling feet! While there were a couple of small issues overall we loved our very short stay here. Would love to have stayed longer and hope one day to enjoy the hospitality of the GPH again in the future. The entire complex has a lovely feel to it and allows you to forget your troubles the moment you step inside

Gorgeous old building, very friendly staff. Priya at the Spa was so lovely and did an amazing job. Unfortunately the place is let down by the bar over the road who have incredibly loud music at night, not great for a Tuesday night when you're meant to be working the next day. Make sure you don't get a room on the road side, I've had this on two separate occasions now and have been kept awake each time. Other things that could be improved - room service didn't replenish the moisturiser/shampoo etc. Fire doors in the building have the self closers removed and other doors are wedged open, this is an unsafe practice. Has the potential to be an amazing oasis if these things are fixed and the noise goes away.

Hi debsilou, Many thanks for taking the time to pass on your feedback and for singling out Priya for special mention, which she and the Spa team will appreciate greatly. I suspect that the bar you mention is actually the Albert Park sports pavilion. It is unusual for loud music to emanate from this venue as it is usually only used for day meetings. I wish we had known of your discomfort at the time as we would have contacted them to see if they could lower the volume, or alternatively offered an alternate room. Due to the anonymous nature of TripAdvisor comments, I do not know your personnel details, but please do let us know when next you plan to stay so that we can make appropriate arrangements to avoid any possible repetition. Your other comments are noted and I appreciate you bringing them to my attention. Vinaka vakalevu, Peter Gee General Manager

We originally booked at the holiday inn next door to GPH but went to lunch at GPH. The ambience of the hotel and the warm welcoming hospitality of the staff hosting GPH had us immediately request to change our booking and stay at GPH. Eroni and his team offer a warm and welcoming service full of thoughtfulness towards their guests needs. All requests are managed with grace and has left a lasting positive impression in my minds and hearts. We were farewelled by the staff with a beautiful song which made our experience so special and unique. The hotel itself is full of marvellous history and reminds of a smaller version of the Raffles in Singapore. The quality and standard are very high, the staff are all very warm and approachable, friendly greetings throughout your stay and ensuring the guests needs are met. Lastly I want to add the food was spectacular and our compliments to the chef and cooking team. All dishes were always perfect! Attached to the hotel is a first call bakery full of decadent desserts which was such a bonus.

There are strict covid measures to ensure the guests and staff are all save and screening of vax cards and sanitisation are offered at the entrance and hand sanitiser is offered throughout the hotel.

I hope to return back to stay here again and can’t thank Eroni and his staff enough for looking after us so well.

Thank you !

Preeya

The Grand Pacific is the most beautiful hotel with the most beautiful staff. Barman Inia and Restaurant Lucy were especially amazing. They were personable, friendly, fun and informative. Inia made excellent cocktails with his personal touch. The reception staff were amazing too and went out of their way to help. It's so nice to still have this luxury as wth many hotels now, reception staff can be processing you like a factory. Not the case in the Grand Pacific. The breakfast buffet was amazing too! They have a juicer where they make your own concoction. You can enjoy the fact that Queen Elizabeth was waving from the balcony of the original building in the 50s and certain celebs have stayed there and you might get a little tour of the rooms in the regal original hotel. The newer rooms are strategically placed, and you can walk through a huge Zen garden with the best air con on your way past the gym and spa (also amazing) The well priced rooms on the side face the beautiful ocean either way and the pool for some of them. The bathrooms are a fabulous size! Very modern. You might have to be careful on the tiles like most hotel bathrooms now when they get a bit of conditioner on them. The pool is a wonderful size to have a decent swim at any time until sunset. The sunset viewing is spectacular too. As you walk into the Grand Pacific, you feel like a Queen/King. Beautiful large flower arrangements surround you. You go back in time....You can view the photos of many historic moments at the Grand. If you have children, there is the huge rugby/football pitches right opposite the hotel that you can take them too and the parks nearby. It is very close to town but feels so spacious. Air con is excellent in the rooms. The staff will find well priced taxi's for you and handle anything that needs handling with genuine care and honesty. Please find time to enjoy some nights in the beautiful Grand Pacific whilst in Fiji.

Comfiest beds ever.
Super clean
Great ocean & pool view
Enjoyed the air-conditioned gym & Spa

Buffet breakfast was great

The beautiful pool area is deserted during the day. Recommend umbrellas over the tables at the pool area & sail cloth over the pool so that guests may use the area during the day - Otherwise it becomes too hot to enjoy.

Maybe allow longer pool hours during the hot season. The pool closes just as it becomes cool enough to swim.

Beautiful sunset views from the pool area.
My girlfriends and family enjoyed our stay.
We'll definitely return.

My Husband and I stayed at this beautiful hotel from the 29 th dec till 4 th January. Over new year. The staff couldn’t have been more pleasant and accommodating. I can highly recommend the spa where I had the best facial with pyiria I’ve ever experienced.

Definitely recommend this when in Suva. It’s well located , comfortable and full of history. Keep in mind that your room will be in one of the modern side wings not the original heritage building , unless you pay top room rate. The gym needs updating, as do the kitchen food options. The outdoor pool is lovely. They even put on a great fireworks show for New Year’s Eve.

I would only eat at the hotel selectively. For a decent meal in Suva go to the Grace Kitchen in the Tappoo mall or Kanu restaurant situated in the former Governors Cafe. Best coffee we found was Republic of Cappuccino cafe in loftus st.

The service at Pacific was great , especially David who really went above and beyond to help us, particularly with our plans on the last day to find a driver to take us to the coral coast via a side trip. Hats off to the amazing staff.

From the moment I arrived I found the staff to be courteous and helpful. The hotel itself is full of history and they have an amazing gallery of portraits of famous people that have stayed at the hotel, well worth a look – you won’t see me up there! The main building is stunning and just reaps of a bygone aera and the location is close to the main business district of Suva. The rooms where you stay are in a modern wing and are well appointed and have everything you would expect from a top hotel. I could only stay 2 nights as it was a work trip, I would have liked to have stayed longer. I had all my meals and beverages at the hotel, and they were excellent. I thought for the quality of product and the level of service the price was reasonable. I did get a couple of hours by the pool one afternoon, if you do get there you need to check in with Dan and Lui at the pool bar as they will look after all your needs, great people. The entire team up at the main bar and restaurant were efficient and so helpful. I need to make a special shout out to Eroni, who knows customer service as well as anyone I have seen. To my new best friend Yan who was a delight to deal with, I can’t thank you enough for your hospitality. I look forward to my next visit.

This hotel is not like the coral coast or Denarau Island resorts. It is a nice relaxing place for visitors and business people. There is no child minding or kids club however the hotel would comfortably accommodate a 2 year old.
