Best holiday ever, great location, food, drinks and people. Snorkelling off the beach was fabulous and staff were so helpful with everything, say hi to Ed, Naiomi, Atu, Tina and say “Hi I’m Deb” (local joke) They made our holiday so relaxed, it is a great place to just relax meet people and have a great time. They can help organise anything you want to do and give you great advice on things to do, if you haven’t been you need to go.

Our group of 40 recently stayed at Mango Bay Resort, nestled in a lush tropical paradise. The natural beauty was stunning, and the staff, including owners Ed and Jen, were exceptional, providing warm hospitality and assistance throughout our stay. The resort facilities suited our large group's needs, offering activities like kayaking, swimming, and relaxing by the pool. Our Fijian-style rooms were clean, spacious, and equipped with fans and flyscreens. Ample drinking water was available, and although tap water wasn't for consumption, it was said to be good for our hair. We enjoyed hearty and varied meals, expertly managed for our group by the Mango Bay Resort Team. The resort's Fijian charm and the kindness of the staff stood out, making it a delightful choice for a tropical getaway, even with some cosmetic imperfections. This is a hidden gem in Sigatoka. We arrived on a Friday to be greeted by beautiful gardens and pleasant staff. Due to the rain that Fiji has been getting the gardens were somewhat water filled. Our room was a traditional style Fijian hut over looking the Bay. Straw thatched roof, outdoor shower and mosquito net for the bed. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We spent a lot of time in the bar area beside the pool with friends. Mixed drinks were great, yummy pina coladas, daiquiris and margaritas. The weather didn’t cooperate very well for us and the evenings were cool. But the open screened windows hearing the ocean crash onto the reef was a natural lullaby. I can’t say enough about the food, it was Great!! Breakfast with eggs cooked just the way you ask, a lot of options during the day and a different menu each day to change things up. In short, if you want a reasonably price place, with great food and welcoming staff, I would recommend it. Bring some bug spray, as they are definitely around. …

I LOVE Mango Bay Resort! My only requests was for a beachfront bure and not too many people. This was perfect! Ed, Jen and the team were like catching up with family. We were warmly welcomed, the gardens are STUNNING and the vibe was chilled. We met other travellers and made friends, but we could also just relax and do our own thing too. Snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, volleyball, eating, drinking, pool and ping pong. Sunbaking, sleeping, do as much or as little as youd like. I'm already looking forward to going back again soon.

I loved this place; I was just happy to be here. Set in these beautiful gardens and equidistant from the key places I needed to go for excursions, with a beach front bure, my stay was wonderful. It was very chilled and inexpensive. I have read some of the complaints and it feels like people are expecting 5 stars for 2 star prices. There were some minor issues like the "roof" dandruff that i wish they had cleaned away properly everyday and the shower head could do with some TLC but overall I thought it was great value for the money I spent. My only request is that they provided pick up and drop off for their staff at the top of the horrendous, steep lane to the hotel, and provided the ability to add tips to the bills as I would have liked to leave the lovely and very hard working staff something. Pros: Very nice garden and very quiet area. Cons: We got overcharged by 35% and didn't notice it straight away. When we noticed it we got told we would receive a refund. A month and endless Emails later, we still didn't receive a refund and are not getting any responses from Mango Bay Resort. Very disappointing and unprofessional since we stayed a while and the total amount is quite a bit! The resort seems to be a few years old and is lacking of general maintenance. E.g. the doorknobs are about to fall off, mosquito nets have big holes and dirty stains on them.

This is a wonderful resort that the whole family will love. Excellent food, but the service from every one of the staff was what I will remember the most. Everyone was incredibly warm and helpful and made our trip a great one.

2 years of CoVid closure hurt but the team is working feverishly to restore the Resort to its five-year-top-ranking resort status in Fiji. Staff, kitchen, gardens, activities...wonderful. I will definitely go again if only for a Fiji Baby and a bowl of Kokoda! Diving, snorkelling, riding the rapids in a tyre-tube were highlights but time was against us. i have to return!
