Traveled here with my wife and baby and we stayed for 2 weeks. The setting is incredible. You're tucked away in this gorgeous bay with an awesome beach at higher tides. The owner and staff are as nice and welcoming as can be. The food was surprisingly delicious -- like every meal, no joke. If Daniel is the chef -- just order whatever he feels like making you, the guy is so talented! The staff was all super helpful and kind with our baby. The surrounding coastline is insanely pretty. Go for a walk along the coast and you'll find idyllic photo ops on empty beaches, super fun tide pooling, nice snorkeling, endless kayak and SUP opportunities... so much fun. Oh, and I recommend bringing some reef shoes because the exposed rocks when the tide drops can be slippery. Ed, the owner, organized some nice things for us, like a romantic candlelight dinner one night, shark diving, hike to nearby waterfall, etc. The sunsets are gorgeous and the night sky, wow! So magical! Now, this isn't a fancy, high end resort so it's important you set your expectations properly. Keep in mind the rooms are simple and could probably use some updating. But they are clean and the bed is comfortable and cozy. There are a ton of mosquitos, but that's kinda the deal everywhere to be honest. They did not have mosquito nets over our bed but that's a work in progress... They do have some netting built into the rooms but mosquitos still get in. They did provide us with mosquito coils. The pool is nice but quite slippery so just be careful! There is a very decent surf break at the channel along the outer reef in front of the resort. BUT, that is a really far paddle from shore! And at the moment, Ed's boat is not functional. And water gets shut off late night because it's on a pump system. However, all and all I'm still giving 5 stars. No regrets staying here, it was an amazing two weeks!

Staying at Mango Bay, was probably the best decision I made. Ed and Jen, made my trip 1000% better. I was travelling alone, and they made me feel safe and never lonely. 5 star service, and from stories I heard on day tours, the service I received at Mango Bay, was far beyond that other tourist received at their proper 5 star resorts. The location it downright breathtaking, and the resort felt more authentic to Fijian culture than any other resort I saw. Before arriving in Fiji, I had absolutely nothing planned, but Ed was able to get me on to tours/experiences that I wanted each day I was there. The food was beyond amazing! I'm a picky eater, and they were very accommodating to that. Honestly, no words will ever be enough to thank Ed and Jen for my trip, I'll miss you guys until I can visit again one day. Sorry not sorry for eating all the pineapples.

What a wonderful way to begin our stay in Fiji! I was travelling with my two daughters, 4 and 8, who were welcomed like family from the onset. Ed was instrumental in the success of the stay, from the prompt answers of offshore queries to paddle boarding with one of my girls, he did it all. Vinaka vaka levu to Meli, Wash, Seta, Naomi and Daniel for all the brilliant hospitality. Going without wifi and air conditioning was refreshing, and waking to the sound of the ocean was without comparison. No frills, but no complaints at all. We’ll be back.

I loved my time at Mango Bay Resort. Such a beautiful property, a bit off the beaten path but that was perfect for some good r&r for my last few days in Fiji. Upon arriving, all the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Tina, Ili, Alicia, Naomi, Meli, Seta, and the others were all so pleasant and great to talk to throughout my stay. The resort owners, Ed and Jen, were also great to talk to and made lots of good suggestions of things to do while on the Coral Coast. Ed even connected me with his tattoo artist, as getting a tattoo while in Fiji was an important to-do on my list. The resort dogs, Mango and Pablo, both had such cute personalities and definitely added to my stay. I highly recommend Mango Bay Resort for anybody looking for a quiet, remote, and restful stay while on the Coral Coast. I'll definitely be back! :)

Mango Bay is in a beautiful setting. Ed and Jen and the staff were extremely warm and welcoming, and we found it a much more intimate experience than staying at a 5 star resort. We stayed in a simple beach front bure, with beautiful views over the reef. We went kayaking. The food was lovely. Would definitely stay here again.
