This was one of our best holidays ever. Right from the start the booking process with Wayne the owner was informative and efficient. Once we arrived, our whole experience at Maui Palms was excellent and well beyond our expectations.

Our room had enough space for two adults and two children (9 and 11), was very clean, had a view of the pool and ocean and we were only a few metres from both. Wayne’s team (Mani, Lagi, Salote, Ben, Kemu, Joe, Neel and Tina) were professional, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. They went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible and always greeted us with a massive smile.

We’d recommend the inclusive food package as the menu has plenty of options and everything was delicious with good portion sizes. Airport transfers, soft drinks and bottled water were included in the package and they even did our laundry for no extra cost. Guides and equipment for activities were also included such as snorkelling, paddle boarding, kayaking and walking on the edge of the coral lagoon at sunset (amazing). The snorkelling was a real highlight as there is a shallow lagoon of crystal clear sea with coral and a variety of fish just a few steps from the rooms.

Overall we had a fantastic time at Maui Palms and would 100% recommend it.

We had been keenly counting down to our holiday time ever since June 2019. When that day finally came and we arrived at the venue, we knew we would not be disappointed.

All the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, to name a few, Joe, Ben, Tina, Lagi, my family of four together with my mother who does not speak a word of English, have all been deeply touched by the kindness of the owner Wayne and his well trained team here.

When the tropical cyclone Sarai arrived and our flight was cancelled, we got Wayne's kind offer to extend our stay by one day, at a discounted price. We felt ever so lucky to have the wonderful food prepared by the staff and there was no power cut or major disruption to our peaceful lives on the site. We are very grateful.

Special thanks to Wayne for arranging us to check into another hotel when we had to stay for a few more days whilst trying to sort out our cancelled flight. He secured rooms for us in the new hotel and kindly drove us there, and offered continuous support while we were frustrated with the airline. We have travelled to many countries in the past two decades as a family but have never experienced so personal and warm help from any hotel we have stayed.

Also want to say thank you to Joe, who had kindly took care of my mother when she fell down and broke her ankle, by applying herbal oil and wrap her ankle in big leaves (the name of which I forgot) which has really helped to make my mother feel better.

During our 9 days of stay at Maui Palms, and the additional 3 nights at another big chain hotel in Denarau, we have sincerely felt the difference in services and that personal feeling of being well taken care at Maui Palms. It has really made a hugh difference to the quality of our holiday.

Overall, we had a wonderful and memorable holiday in Fiji. Thanks to Wayne and his team to make it so special, even with the unexpected cyclone event, our journey went well and we came back with such beautiful memory of Fiji.

Maui Palms was an absolutely beautiful place to relax and unwind. We received a complimentary room upgrade to one of the rooms by the pool, however both rooms were well stocked and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The surroundings were just stunning with lots of chair to recline in by the pool, a hammock to read your book in, and the beautiful pool to swim in with views of the coral reef in the ocean out front. The restaurant served amazing local food full of flavour, the cocktails were delicious and on our last night we were treated to a traditional Kava ceremony as well as a Lovo banquet. The Kava ceremony was very special to be a part of and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. All the staff at Maui Palms were exceptionally warm and friendly and gave outstanding service from the restaurant, to by the pool, to organising trips and transport for us, we couldn't have been asked for anything more. All in all, we absolutely loved our stay at Maui Palms, it was so relaxing and we enjoyed every second of it. Thank-you so much to everyone who made our stay exceptional, we look forward to being back. Mel & Dom.

This place is amazing ! I don’t even know where to begin . If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday with your significant other this is the best place to be ! I took months to find the perfect resort for my honeymoon and Maui Palms caught my eyes. Forget about booking through any apps book directly with the resort and enjoy their delicious breakfast ! As soon as we got there we were amazed ! It was the perfect resort, not too crowded, small resort , beautiful ! The staff were amazing they treated us like family and Gave us a smile every time they met us. I loved how the resort gave us the choice where to have our food whether its breakfast, lunch or dinner we get to decide where to have it . That was a bonus and I loved it !
I booked a garden view room however the resort was kind enough to upgrade us to an ocean view room since it was available ! How awesome is that ?! The place is amazing it’s beautiful and my husband and I got the best holiday ever . There’s a supermarket and atm near the resort which came in handy for us . The place is gorgeous and will definitely be back again. Here are a few pictures I took while we were there .thank you again Maui Palms for a lovely stay ! We will be back again .

We were so impressed with our stay at Maui Palms. The staff are beyond amazing, genuine and so kind and helpful with our requests and loved our little 1 year old girl. The rooms are stunning, each with a free standing bath and super comfortable king beds and all with direct access to the resort pool and lagoon. The onsite restaurant serves beautiful fresh cuisine, rooms are serviced daily and the location is close by a supermarket and cafes. We were also lucky to experience an incredible fire dance show with Joe, Gabi and Neale and partake in a traditional Kava and Lovo dinner ceremony with our fellow guests. We are incredibly grateful to Wayne, Christine, Noah, Neale, Tina, Joe, Moegi, Gabi and the team for making us feel so welcome. We can't wait to return. Sarah, Mitch & Pearl.

Local staff made the stay fantastic! Best snorkelling off the beach, very calm in the morning high tide. Bring water shoes it’s the coral coast! Do the waterfall hike from the hotel! Bring a donation for the kindergarten and get your souvenirs and carvings here, they are cheaper than in town.

I recommend you purchase the hotel transfer from the hotel you will be in good hands.

Neil will help you book anything you need.

Joe is the best guide! He did the waterfall tour, reef walk (so cool) and the Traditional Lovo festival, Kava ceremony and fire dance!

Alcohol is not included but Andi makes the best house cocktails.

I definitely recommend the full board option. You get three meals a day and for dinner three courses and huge portions. The Lovo festival is not included but worth the cost if they can get the people. Try the Kava it is unique.

The rooms were clean, had great amenities and the bed was soft and comfy. We saw two geckos on our door! It’s the tropics so there was a random bug at times but the cleaning staff are always cleaning.

The wifi was really good and they have books and movie dvds you can borrow for free.

The food was great. I fell in love with the lemon pancakes (squirt the lemon on the pancake to make the glaze). I want their traditional fish soup recipe it was so good and the mildest fish I’ve ever had. I had banana crepes every night for dessert.

The pool was prefect to get out of the heat and had stools so you could enjoy a drink while you stay cool.

The massage was very relaxing and can be in the beach if it is not windy. I had mine on the patio of the cabana.

If you need snacks there is a little store about 5 mins walk if you take a left out of the road in.

The small town is okay but the big gift shop on the way was my favourite.

I will come back if ever I have the chance and this is the place I will stay.

We were one of the first couples in two years to stay at Maui Palms and you would have never known it as everything was so seamless and organised. Staff were professional, welcoming, and accomodating. The food was delicious and we were so glad we got the meal plan because it’s great and there isn’t much else around. Dinner right outside our hut by the beach was on of the best parts of our day. Great snorkeling right in front and such a calm and relaxing place to be. If you’re into exercise on holidays, they have you covered! Thanks for everything! Claudia & Eoin

My husband & I moved to Australia 18 months ago and have been seeking our dream holiday destination (to rival our favourite in Europe). I can say that Maui Palms exceeded all expectation. Location is exceptional. Right on the beach at Maui Bay on the Coral Coast. Incredible snorkelling and swimming. That is fine but what makes Maui Palms better than anywhere else we have stayed is the following: Beautifully designed accommodation with a choice of either a romantic bure or a new apartment. We chose the apartment so we could cater for ourselves at times but an inclusive food package is available. 2 swimming pools - the one at the apartments is simply stunning! The resort is unique and boutique - enough people if you want to make acquaintances but privacy if you value peace, quiet and relaxation.
The best thing however about Maui Palms is the staff. The owner is incredibly considerate of his guests, the environment AND his staff. They in turn are loyal and simply the most welcoming, generous, happy people you could care to meet. The time they gave to take me on a reef walk and snorkel tour and the knowledge imparted was incredible. The Lovo meal for a group of us guests was delightful (and delicious). You felt nothing was too much trouble and everything provided with a smile.

Maui Palms is a beautifully designed boutique hotel/resort on the Coral Coast in Fiji. The bures are tastefully designed and decorated. Maui Palms are currently constructing a new three story complex next to the existing low rise bures that will be opened in November 2022. This is a very popular location. Being located between Sigatoka and Pacific Harbour it is convenient for travel to both areas for tourist shopping or visiting villages and natural features. The resort is fronted by a lovely beach for snorkelling, swimming or reef walks. The beautiful pool is located right next to all the bures.
The staff were amazing. Nothing was a problem for them. Neil, Lulu, Tina, Olive, Joe Gabby and many others worked so hard to meet all our needs, as well as being entertaining and fun.
The chef prepared a gourmet seafood platter just for my husband and I. This was delivered to our Bure. Lobster, prawns and an abundance of local fish. Nightly cocktails we very well priced. The Lovo/kava night was education as well as very tasty. The rooms were maintained well, with Pure Fiji toiletries.
I would recommend this small resort to those needing to totally unwind.

This place is nothing short of perfect.
From the moment that we arrived until the moment we left we were met with impeccable service and smiles all round. The rooms are clean and functional, massages are amazing, pool was a lovely communal area to chill and meet other guests staying at the resort and the food was out of this world and there is so much to choose from on the menu. (Italian, Indian, Fijian, burgers, salads, desserts, cocktails)
Joe and Gabby are complete legends and run daily activities from/at the resort for free such as stand up paddle boarding, reef walks, snorkelling, bush walks and so much more.
Each and every staff member remembered our names which made us feel valued, there is such a sense of family and acceptance here.
A massive THANK YOU to Gabby, Tina, Langi, Neil, Moji, Joe, Wayne and Ben. We can not wait to return with our friends and family next time.

We had a nanny at the resort a couple of times and it was no problem! I’m sure they could recommend someone if you asked. Not sure about the food packages sorry. But the food is amazing and very reasonably priced! Definitely try the bacon and egg sandwich and ceviche!
