The hotel room was spacious, the grounds were pleasant and its only a short walk to Wailoaloa Beach. My room also had a kitchenette. It's very close to the airport. But everything is pretty basic. Also, there's no wifi or cable television, so make sure you bring your own entertainment. I don't think it would be a great place to come as your main holiday destination, but if you're just after a place to sleep for a night or two, it does the job.
We had booked in advance due to time limit as most of us work for the Airline Industry. And at the Last minute we had to change our Rooms as only 4 of us could make it.Deepshika helped us in changing or rooms and accomadating our stay but we had to wait 3hrs for the next room to be available. The New receptionist Mere who was pretty much useless did not even know what room we were placed in or whether we had paid or not even when we explained we had receipts with us.Just lazy to my knowledge as she couldn’t check her system to see the updates. We didn’t have towels till 4:30pm In our room even though checkin is at 1:30pm. The Maids were Great trying to assist but really Towels are a need. The next morning we woke up pretty early and about 8am asked if the pool was open. Was told the pool opens at 9:30am by the same lazy Receptionist Mere.So we had to wait.Arriving at the pool at 9:30am we were told the pool was open before 8am and Guest were there since 8am.What a bad start to a Vacation.Hopefully this doesn’t happen to another Guest.Customer Service is Horrible and we learned that they only go out of their way if the Guest are from other countries.Sadly!! This used to be our favorite place, but now it isn’t.…
Last week, we took 19 adults and 50 children aged 4 to 10 years and stayed 3 nights at Grand West. We held a school conference and were given the upmost support by the management and staff for a very successful stay. The children voted the villa as the “Best Hotel Ever”.
Stayed here for 2 nights and it was good enough for the rate paid. The common room was big and clean. Only minus was the sofa which was stained and had a smell to it. The kitchen was okay well with a refrigerator, microwave, kettle, toaster and few utensils provided. The pots needs to be changed as it was quite old. The inside of the refrigerator was stained and brown as well. The surrounding was perfect - clean, beautiful gardens and quiet. Just minor cleaning and renovations and this place will be great.
Second time staying at Grand West and we will stay again. We appreciate the low key atmosphere and location along with the planes coming and going. The villa is tired and well used. We had a two storey one this time which was wonderfully spacious. There are some things that would take very little to make an improvement. There is no outdoor furniture for the balcony, no potato peeler or spatula. The bed had roll together but bearable. You have to go and sit by the office to get Wi Fi, but that is ok. Beware of mosquitoes while sitting there. No hairdryer but one was provided once I asked. We wanted hand towels and facecloths so had to ask for those as well, once again they were provided on request. As I say minor things and having said that, we love the place and will be back. The pool is wonderful and beautifully maintained. Food from the restaurant is pretty good. For us, it is a relaxing feel good place to park ourselves. Smugglers Cove and other resorts are all within walking distance, the beach is nice, not pristine waters but still nice. The villas would be great for families, but as a couple we appreciated the space as well.…
