We stayed four nights here. The rooms well they are functional- the bathrooms semi renovated but dodgy and wouldn't pass in australia.
In four days NO chlorine was ever put in the pool but it was cleaned every day.
Breakfast was ok the egg station was good. Lunch and dinner a total waste of time. On our first night we waited over an hour for spag bol and calamari that when it finally arrived was cold.
Eating there more than one meal just a total dissapointment. The nightime staff couldn't care less about how long things take and everyone we spoke to had the same complaint only at night was the service slow. They get more than one table and they panic and as a quest we are all willing to spwnd money in the hotel but you cant keep eating bad food and having the life sucked out of you while you where waiting.

Add to that my son was having a chat with one of the staff (after we had to go to port denaru to eat adding way too much additional costs to our holiday) and the staff member video taped my son talking without approval and was facing away from me and at the last second i saw it. Out of order and why I have given them a 3 star review. Video tapping young children without consent is disgusting and god knows ehat else they took videos off whilst we where staying there.
Freak!.Not happy with that at all.
Tour desk was honest and really good.
Housekeeping came daily.
Reception somewhat not interested.

Bula Vinaka Evita L, Thank you for taking the time to provide some feedback on your recent stay. We do appreciate hearing from our guests as feedback is vital for us to continue improving our service and maintaining our commitment to superior guest experience. Every morning at 5 a.m, we chlorinate our pool in preparation for our 8 a.m. guest opening. This is the reason you noticed the pool was clean even though you might not have observed anyone adding chlorine during the day. I have shared your feedback with the head chef in regards to your dinner wait time and our sincere apologies for the inconvenience. It was one of those days where we had an influx in bookings hence the reason for the delay. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience for all our guests, and it's apparent in this case we fell short. I have spoken to relevant department manager as we address the concerns you have highlighted with the absolute desire to deliver positive guest stay experiences and work on avenues to prevent any future occurrence. We are also working on more training I hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back and exceed your expectations in the near future. Vinaka, Team Mercure Nadi

Perfectly adequate for what I needed. I only stayed one night prior to leaving for the airport so I could have a look around town. There’s a big supermarket next door but other than that not much around. The grounds were nice and the pool looked good but I didn’t have a chance to use it.

Room was clean and functional, air con a little noisy but worked. Bed was ok but pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. Towels were a little sad but the toiletries provided were nice.

Breakfast was pretty good, not a huge choice but they even had proper grilled bacon (not the horrid dry, oven cooked bacon you get at 5 star resorts).

Beware the transfer drivers out front will jump up when you ask for a taxi and then charge you inflated prices compared to a metered taxi.

The Mercure in Nadi is perfectly located to allow an overnight stopover before proceeding to the beautiful Fiji islands. We booked this hotel being a reputable hotel chain, and needed a stable and reliable internet connection, as advertised on their website and hotel information pages.

Regrettably, the internet was virtually non-existent. Constantly dropping out, poor download speed and no chance of uploading anything or sending emails. The staff tried their best, but to no avail.

Disappointed, frustrated and unable to commence our holiday as we were constantly trying to send emails etc.

The staff are lovely.

There is no lift, despite the hotel being over three floors.

The buffet breakfast was very basic. A two-egg per person limit. No bacon. Full carbohydrate bonanza - yuck!! But it was a breakfast.

Rooms were clean, but very basic. Poor lighting. Overall a 2 out of 5.

We stayed at Mercure Nadi overnight at the beginning and end of our recent two week trip to Fiji. We have no complaints and only thanks. The staff were very helpful and very pleasant going out of their way to make sure we got to our RAT in the nick of time on our first arrival so that we would be able to make our Awesome Flyer journey early the next morning (when RATs were still required). We were literally only staying overnight both times. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Note that the rooms are a little 'tired' but we considered this hotel great value for money if you are only needing a transfer through Nadi. Breakfast was good, everything you needed. Staff came to collect our baggage exactly on the dot we requested for our second departure at 5:30am. They can help you connect with very good taxi drivers. Only 10 min from the airport outside peak times. About 20 mins or so from Port Denerau. And across the road from the excellent Masala Twist Indian restaurant for a superb dinner. If you are looking for a simple, clean hotel when transferring through Nadi we would happily recommend the Mercure.

This is an old property and no resort but that said the rooms were clean and comfortable and perfectly adequate for one night before the flight home. You can catch a bus into Nadi town for $1 to do last minute shopping or get a bite to eat which I would highly recommend because the food at this hotel is pretty bland and uninspiring. Most of the ‘hot’ food at breakfast was cold and the curries were completely tasteless - there is mild and then there is baby food - this was the latter. At least serve a hot sambal or pickle which the guest can choose or not.
Get a new chef.

Tired amenities, over priced room and limited variety at the restaurant. The only saving element was the friendly and helpful staff.
We booked a 'deluxe' room but it was basic. The bed was a king size and comfortable but it was tired with patched paint, stained grout and old furniture - certainly not what was expected in a deluxe room.
Drinks and food was expensive and we would have been better off heading next door to a local bistro/ BBQ - the location is very central and close to the airport.
There are several other Nadi hotels that are better value, more modern and while not as central to shops/bars etc., are similar distance from the airport.

This hotel is centrally located and offers a great base to explore the main island. The hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable, however the rooms are dated, the restaurant was great, with a hearty breakfast and good menu. As a family, the nine & eleven year old enjoyed the swimming pool, hammocks, and play area. We had a hire car that we could park beside our ground floor room without paying additional costs. The staff are fantastic and always very helpful. We stayed seven nights, and my daughter and two granddaughters enjoyed the stay. We walked up town to a local restaurant for dinner and felt very safe. Check with staff they will always offer advice. The hotel was affordable, convenient, and met our expectations. We were away all day exploring the Fijian culture, so we didn't need to pay for a five-star hotel. I'm so glad we booked this hotel.

We stayed here at the start and the end of our holiday.
This is only really a transit hotel. Only stay here if you are eventually going to another resort. I've read other reviews that say the location is good. It is only good if you want the closeness to the airport, other than that the location is not great. In a part of Nadi that doesn't really have much around. Nadi downtown is not walking distance - it's about $6FJD in a taxi. There's a supermarket, some restaurants and Burger King a short walk from Mercure.

The wifi is really really bad. So bad that webpages won't load. Very frustrating when trying to check essentials like flight details, bank account balances etc. This really needs to be remedied by the Mercure.
The room was a tad tired. The bathroom needed attention. We stayed in room 220 on our end of trip stay. When we entered I wondered why there was a pedestal fan in an AC room. We soon found out the AC didn't work the greatest so needed the fan on too to cool the room.
Such as what we encountered all over Fiji, the staff were always very friendly, happy and accommodating. Always eager to help wherever possible.

If you book this hotel with the promising expectation of a Mercure quality hotel then you’ll be disappointed.

On arrival the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were given the key to our room and when we got there we were very disappointed.

The room was really run down. Only one of the many electrical outlets actually worked, there were dead cockroaches in various spots around the room (including where the kettle and drink making facilities were which would suggest to me that it’s not regularly cleaned), the handle on the balcony door was holding on with dear life, the balcony banister was wobbly, the toilet seat looked as though it had been clawed at with a knife and the paint was falling off the walls.

The only positive things we can say is that the bed was very comfy (even though the pillows smelled slightly of smoke), the shower pressure was great and the room is quite spacious. The breakfast in the morning was also really good with a nice variety of foods to choose from.

Other than that, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The pictures online don’t provide a realistic representation of the quality of the hotel.

We had already had an idea that the rooms would be dated from the reviews. So expected as much and weren't fussed about our stay, given the price hence why we 4 stars as prob can do with an upgrade. We were on the ground floor and we didn't have any bugs in our room. Cleaning was pretty good. One of the cleaners who had returned to work there in the last few months was REALLY amazing at his job. The restaurant food was really good we had no complaints, so dined there quite a bit. Rosie's onsite were also really helpful when we booked activities. But the staff are what make this place such a great atmosphere to be at. The bar staff Eroni (Rhonda) and Vasiti were AMAZING. Super helpful to give you advice and what to look out for. We would recommend the place based on the staff

Hi I have been to Nandi 3 times in the last couple of months and found the staff to be great, if you greet them first ! with a Bulla I find it is a help. As we are also club members I stayed twice at the Mercure and once went up market at the Pullman so if your not happy that may be a option.
