Mercure Nadi presents a mixed bag of experiences for its guests. The hotel's value proposition has been a point of debate, with opinions split on its affordability versus the service and quality received. Cleanliness stands out as a positive attribute, with well-maintained rooms and grounds often highlighted. While the staff's friendliness garners praise, service levels seem unpredictable, ranging from attentive to slow. The amenities, including the parking, gardens, and pool, are well-liked, though calls for updates and better maintenance are recurrent. The atmosphere offers some convenience and entertainment, but room ambiance receives lukewarm reactions. Guest rooms are consistently noted as needing a refresh, despite their cleanliness. Finally, the hotel's location garners mixed feelings, with some guests appreciating the proximity to shopping and dining, whereas others view the surrounding area as less desirable.

We stayed here three times in a period of a few weeks, as we used Nadi as our base to visit the Yasawa Islands and other parts of Fiji.

The rooms are large and comfortable; but could do better. One room had a wonky shower head, that made it hard to have a decent shower; the other room had lousy wifi access and an uncomfortable sofa chair.

The beds were comfortable, and the rooms and bathrooms were clean.

We ate at the restaurant, which was average. And the breakfast was nothing much to remember either.

However, the location is convenient, with shops, and restaurants just across the road; and an easy taxi or bus ride into Nadi or elsewhere

All the staff (restaurant, bar, front-office) were very friendly and helpful

We stayed four nights here. The rooms well they are functional- the bathrooms semi renovated but dodgy and wouldn't pass in australia.
In four days NO chlorine was ever put in the pool but it was cleaned every day.
Breakfast was ok the egg station was good. Lunch and dinner a total waste of time. On our first night we waited over an hour for spag bol and calamari that when it finally arrived was cold.
Eating there more than one meal just a total dissapointment. The nightime staff couldn't care less about how long things take and everyone we spoke to had the same complaint only at night was the service slow. They get more than one table and they panic and as a quest we are all willing to spwnd money in the hotel but you cant keep eating bad food and having the life sucked out of you while you where waiting.

Add to that my son was having a chat with one of the staff (after we had to go to port denaru to eat adding way too much additional costs to our holiday) and the staff member video taped my son talking without approval and was facing away from me and at the last second i saw it. Out of order and why I have given them a 3 star review. Video tapping young children without consent is disgusting and god knows ehat else they took videos off whilst we where staying there.
Freak!.Not happy with that at all.
Tour desk was honest and really good.
Housekeeping came daily.
Reception somewhat not interested.

Bula Vinaka Evita L, Thank you for taking the time to provide some feedback on your recent stay. We do appreciate hearing from our guests as feedback is vital for us to continue improving our service and maintaining our commitment to superior guest experience. Every morning at 5 a.m, we chlorinate our pool in preparation for our 8 a.m. guest opening. This is the reason you noticed the pool was clean even though you might not have observed anyone adding chlorine during the day. I have shared your feedback with the head chef in regards to your dinner wait time and our sincere apologies for the inconvenience. It was one of those days where we had an influx in bookings hence the reason for the delay. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience for all our guests, and it's apparent in this case we fell short. I have spoken to relevant department manager as we address the concerns you have highlighted with the absolute desire to deliver positive guest stay experiences and work on avenues to prevent any future occurrence. We are also working on more training I hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back and exceed your expectations in the near future. Vinaka, Team Mercure Nadi

After staying around the coast for 11 nights we returned to Nadi for an early morning flight .. On arival we were greeted by the front desk Receptionist who expalined our room wasnt quite ready,we were early, but maybe we would like some lunch in the dinning room while we waited. We did this and were well looked after by the dining room stadff . It wasn't long before our room was ready and we were pleasantly surpised to find a lovely large room with a complimentary fruit platter in the fridge .to replace the breakfast we would miss as we had an early morning check out next morning and breakast is included in the tarrif. We stayed in Delux King bed room which was very good .
The hotel is set in lovely gardens with a swimming pool and childrens play area and just a short stroll to the Plaza where there is a variety of cheap, good restaurants and an excellent coffee /cake shop .
We ate in the dining room that night, the food was good and compared to the Tourist prices charged on the Coaral Coast very cheap It did take awhile for our food to come as they were short staffed in the Kitchen but it wasn't an issue as we had plenty of time .
Two years ago we stayed one night in the Novotel which was very disapointing as its very run down so The Mecure was a pleasant surprise .

Dear fourofuss66, Thank you for sharing your detailed and thoughtful review of your recent stay with us at Mercure Nadi. We are delighted to hear that your experience with us was a pleasant surprise and that you enjoyed our hospitality. It is wonderful to know that you were warmly welcomed upon arrival, and we are glad our dining team made your wait for the room comfortable and enjoyable. We are also pleased that your Deluxe King Room met your expectations, and the complimentary fruit platter was a welcome touch for your early departure. Our team takes pride in maintaining the hotel's beautiful gardens and family-friendly amenities, so it is great to hear that these features added to your experience. We are also happy you enjoyed the convenience of nearby dining options and our own restaurant’s offerings, despite the slight delay in service. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we worked through a busy evening. Your comparison to other properties in the area, including the Novotel Nadi, is especially meaningful to us. We strive to provide a consistently high standard of service and comfort and we are thrilled to know we exceeded your expectations. Thank you once again fourofuss66, for choosing Mercure Nadi and we hope to welcome you back for another memorable stay in the future. Kind Regards Jack Work General Manager Mercure Nadi

The rooms need a major upgrade. upon checking in the rooms had broken A/c and the staff didn't even offer to change the room. Instead, they gave a fan which made horrible noise which made it difficult to sleep. To top it up I am an Accor member getting this treatment, I really feel sorry for a non-member booking here. when enquired to change and go elsewhere they threatened not to refund money paid. Very poor resolution as if they only interested in the money and not service.

Dear Amit15, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered during your stay, particularly with the broken air conditioning and the inadequate response from our team. This is not the level of service we strive to provide, especially to our valued Accor members. We are truly sorry that your concerns were not addressed properly and that the fan provided did not offer a comfortable alternative. We completely understand how frustrating this must have been, and we regret that we did not offer a room change or a more suitable solution at the time. Your experience does not reflect the high standards we aim to maintain, and we apologize for any impression that we were more focused on policy than on providing the best possible service to our guests. We will be reviewing this situation with our team to ensure that we handle such issues more effectively in the future. Thank you again for your feedback. We appreciate your loyalty as an Accor member, and we hope you will give us another opportunity to provide you with the experience you deserve. Kind Regards Jack Work General Manager Mercure Nadi

We stayed at Mercure Nadi overnight at the beginning and end of our recent two week trip to Fiji. We have no complaints and only thanks. The staff were very helpful and very pleasant going out of their way to make sure we got to our RAT in the nick of time on our first arrival so that we would be able to make our Awesome Flyer journey early the next morning (when RATs were still required). We were literally only staying overnight both times. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Note that the rooms are a little 'tired' but we considered this hotel great value for money if you are only needing a transfer through Nadi. Breakfast was good, everything you needed. Staff came to collect our baggage exactly on the dot we requested for our second departure at 5:30am. They can help you connect with very good taxi drivers. Only 10 min from the airport outside peak times. About 20 mins or so from Port Denerau. And across the road from the excellent Masala Twist Indian restaurant for a superb dinner. If you are looking for a simple, clean hotel when transferring through Nadi we would happily recommend the Mercure.

This hotel is centrally located and offers a great base to explore the main island. The hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable, however the rooms are dated, the restaurant was great, with a hearty breakfast and good menu. As a family, the nine & eleven year old enjoyed the swimming pool, hammocks, and play area. We had a hire car that we could park beside our ground floor room without paying additional costs. The staff are fantastic and always very helpful. We stayed seven nights, and my daughter and two granddaughters enjoyed the stay. We walked up town to a local restaurant for dinner and felt very safe. Check with staff they will always offer advice. The hotel was affordable, convenient, and met our expectations. We were away all day exploring the Fijian culture, so we didn't need to pay for a five-star hotel. I'm so glad we booked this hotel.

I stayed at the Mercure in Nadi for a few days while on holiday. At the time of booking it was a very reasonable price compared to other chain hotels. Yes, it is further away from the beaches and coastline but all major tour companies in the area pick up from the hotel. The room was clean but quite bare compared to some other hotels in Fiji. Good for a few nights stay but not much longer.

I was a bit apprehensive when I read the latest review about how bad it was. The public areas were nice and staff friendly and accommodating. When we got to room 329, I almost contemplated checking out. The bed was awful - it was soft and we could feel the springs. I have travelled in far west Queensland and NSW and know how bad motels can be, but at least the bed was always firm. We were too tired and somehow slept through the night. In the broad day light, it wasn't too bad. We slept ok the next night and the next night. Our bodies found the not jutting out springs part. The gardens were nice and there were hammocks under shade you could escape to. Breakfast was fine. There was local food too. I had fried long beans with lentil soup and rice one morning and the next fried rice. The egg station was popular, and you had the usual breads, cereals. We ate once in the restaurant, and it was quite good. Best of all, the coffee was $5:50 and strong. Restaurants (including chinese, japanese and korean) and shops/supermarkets within a few minutes' walk so you could get variety. There is a Rosie's tour desk which was really helpful. Yes, it is more a outback motel standard than what you would expect from the "Mercure" brand. Having stayed at the Gateway, if I was in Nadi for more than a stopover, the Mercure is a much more convenient hotel but check that the bed is firm.

Dear agltay, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our public areas, friendly staff, and the variety of dining options both within and around the hotel. The fact that you found comfort in our gardens and appreciated the breakfast offerings is truly encouraging. Your comments about the bed's condition are concerning, and we will be addressing this with our housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure improvements are made. Do not believe the lifestyle photographs. Do not go by the Mecure name.

We stayed here twice, transit from and to the airport (by the way taxi should be about $15 Fijian). Both rooms were dimly lit, damp and stale, the first a little better than the second room, but both really awful. The second felt like could be rented out by the hour. The beds hard, and made you feel itchy. (I don't mind a firm mattress, but these were ridiculous.)
The staff were nice, but not overly friendly. The bar service extremely slow, and the breakfast boring and uneventful.

If you do stay here try the Peri Peri Chicken restaurant across the road, great pizza, and cold beer.

Very very run down basic hotel. More like a motel actually with cinder block construction. Air con didn't work (voucher for bad quality over priced dinner was offered to be fair).

Location is fairly bad and dodgy although there are a few places to eat nearby.

Food was poor to mediocre and very expensive.

The branding and price would have suggested a degree of quality (not luxury) but no....

Staff had generally poor communication skills although some were helpful and all were friendly
