Tokatoka Resort is celebrated for its excellent location near the airport, complete with a complimentary shuttle service, as noted by many guests. While the amenities, including a family-friendly pool and spa, earn high marks from travelers, opinions on the rooms and value are mixed, with some citing spaciousness and others discomfort and high costs. Cleanliness is generally commended, though there have been occasional issues upon check-in.
Service is often described as friendly and professional, despite some reports of inconsistency. The atmosphere receives varied reactions, with both praise for its friendliness and criticism of loud music.

I’ve been going to Tokatoka since I was 6 and I’m 36 years old now……, and I can tell you there has been a lot of positive changes.
First of all the team lead Jope at the front desk, with his warm and friendly smile there to greet you. Then the funny Sevuloni the potter, making you feel like you’re part of the Tokatoka family.
Eliki at the bar very respectful and well mannered, would recommend you ask him to make his special drinks.
The dinning staff Arieta and Sofaia are very accommodating, with their famous Bula smile during their services.
The morning kitchen staff are amazing, for about $25 fjd for a continental breakfast is not bad. You get to try the local fruits and what Fiji has to offer.
I’d recommend as a former chef, to reduce the portions of the omelet as it’s quite huge with a ton of wastage from the guests. As for the crumbed chicken, might want to change how it’s done. You can tell from the first bite that it’s been par boiled.
Also as for your sauces, you need to learn to make them from scratch as for the price we are paying and the taste just doesn’t justify the package or out of the can taste. I’d say all this is not a kitchen staff issue but more so, a chef and management problem.
As for the hard working house keeping crew, thank you for keeping the room spotless.
Just a reminder, if you have friends and family coming over…. They are not allowed to enter the rooms paid for by us the guest, you can only meet them at the front lobby or use the restaurant area to eat. Should they use the pool, there is a $50 fjd for 4 people, that $50 pass includes a dinner size pizza with a jug of fruit juice.
Lastly a big thank you to Ratu Meli, the driver whom took us on the shuttle to the airport. He was super nice, and was kind enough to say Vanua Levu is the gateway to heaven and not Lomai Viti Gau. Thank you again, can’t wait to see what new improvements you will have on my next trip.

We had pre-booked the room in advance, but were shown to a room which was adjacent to the road. It was dingy, dark and gloomy and the road noise, even at that time of day was excessive, so we knew that we wouldn’t sleep. The rooms do not have glass windows but screens and shutters so there’s nothing to filter at the noise, we asked if there was another room away from the road and we were told that the only room available was a family suite. We did have to pay extra which was okay but we felt that the amount paid not including any food was excessive at over AU$316. The new room 402 was large and spacious with a queen bed and two single beds however the decor is also very dark and gloomy and I have read other reviews of the same opinion and it is true. The rooms are in need of upgrading, the tap kept falling off the sink in the little kitchenette. The drawers in the kitchen are all empty it is just tea and coffee making facilities. The room was clean and the staff at the resort as one would expect in Fiji are very friendly and warm. The pool area is very nice and the gardens are very well maintained and very attractive to the eye. I had emailed well in advance of our visit regarding my gluten-free needs as I have coeliac disease I was told to see the chef on the night, and he was helpful. The choices I had were very limited, but they did accommodate my needs. I don’t feel that the price paid was value for money and on an earlier visit we had stayed at a different hotel near the airport and found that it was better value and a good experience.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
The hotel is located near the airport and a main road so a little noisy but nothing unbearable. The establishment is very well maintained, the swimming pool is pleasant. Our room was cleaned every day. The staff is very welcoming, smiling and available. The catering is of good quality. The spa and gym are a nice plus. The taxi service offered is a plus for discovering the island at a very reasonable price.

My husband and I booked this place for the 15/05/24-19/05/2024. OMG it has gone down hill since the last time we were there 15 years ago. First night. 1. No water for a shower Second night 2. no hot water 🚿 the basin tap had more pressure than the shower.
3. Torn towels 4.don't except to pay cash or eftpos for an over charged meal must pay the bill the day of checking out.
5. Min parking if car park is full you must park your car at the back of the resort and walk more than a 100 metres to the entrance of the resort. What if you are an elderly person too bad start walking.
Staff were friendly but a handful of female staff didn’t even acknowledge your presence and ignored you by turning away to avoid eye contact.
So with this review I’ll get a generated response from the resort that is pre-typed and the resort will insult your intelligence by saying sorry it didn’t make to your expectations. NEWS FLASH PEOPLE it shouldn’t be your expectation we are the ones that paid over $600 AUD to stay for 4 nights. There’s many more issues but this review is becoming a novel. Never 👎🏾 coming back.

Bula Compass19682360115, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. On behalf of our entire team, we regret that you weren’t wowed by your stay with us. We obviously fell short of your expectations in accordance to your feedback. Your input is invaluable, and we've identified areas for improvement. Additionally, we kindly request your reservation name as it will greatly aid us in our follow-up process, since we're unable to locate your reservation by the above-mentioned name. Regarding the water system issues, we are encountering fluctuations in water pressure, with the Water Authority of Fiji and we are working on it for the resolution. Additionally, we have internally addressed the reported towel situation, and it is very surprising to us as we have never encountered such scenario at our resort, our trained attendants have been doing great work. We offer our sincere apologies for the short fall. Rest assured; measures are being implemented to prevent similar incidents in the future. In terms of payment methods, we encourage cashless transactions, at our outlets. All the Guest account is settled at the front desk using cash or card payments at any time. Please kindly note that parking is available in two lots conveniently situated near the lobby and on overflow of vehicles are directed to another parking area which is situated behind the restaurant, which is centrally located within the resort premises. We encourage further discussion about your stay. Please contact us at res.tokatoka@warwickhotels.com. Your concerns have been shared with relevant departments, and we are committed to upholding our standards. We look forward to the opportunity to serve you again in the near future with enhanced services. Thanking you for your feedback, and we wish you a safe journey home. Absolutely divine experience from check in to check out. The Villa was very spacious and clean. The service was great and staff are amazing. Really felt at home . We had a cyclone and the trees had fallen with leaves everywhere, but what amazed me was that place was spot less in a couple of hours. The management got their hands dirty and together with staff every corner was free of debris. Will definitely come back and rate a 5 star. Thank you, team, at Tokatoka , Nadi Fiji Islands.

We stayed at the Tokatika Hotel Fiji with my son just for a day and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The hotel’s location is perfect, offering stunning views and easy access to nearby attractions especially Nadi International airport. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, providing a relaxing environment for us.
The only issue we encountered was with the shower — the water wasn’t draining properly, and the floor was a bit slippery. However, this minor inconvenience did not take away from our wonderful stay. We would definitely return and recommend Tokatika Hotel. Faafetai lava!

Resort was ok for one night but the check in experience was the slowest service we have ever encountered. Checking into our rooms took almost 45 mins - not sure why as there was nothing complicated in our booking. Booked rooms 6 months before, and checked in at 3.30pm. After waiting an hour was told that the rooms weren’t ready yet, and to “go and sit back down and wait”. We sat down as ordered but after 10 more minutes and a baby screaming I asked why the rooms were ready as it was almost 4.30! Finally after much fuss and frustration, we were finally led to our rooms. My husband and my room wasn’t ready until 5pm - we had to sit outside while they cleaned it at 5pm!! Still can’t believe it! Once we were settled in, we enjoyed our evening and the room was clean and comfortable but wouldn’t recommend this place for more than a quick stopover.

We thought after a week in a beach shack we would treat ourselves to a hotel near the airport with a hot shower and arestaurant meal NO DEAL! Like a school camp- bathroom dirty ( is there ever an excuse for that?) no hot water, bad food and they take fiji time to a whole new level ( 25 mins for a cup of coffee when we were the only order). We only stayed 24 hours. Of course there are plenty of friendly faces because fiji people are the nicest in the world but doesn't change the'hotel'.

Welcome was friendly & informative. Shown to our room & that's where our last night on holiday went downhill fast. Do not book standard rooms, dark, horrid rooms, we had left over food in fridge from last guests, sticky unwashed teaspoons, dusty wooden floors, bathroom was thilthy & grimey. We reluctantly showered with our jandels on. The front door was broken, had to slam it to sut it, then almost couldn't open again. Then in the afternoon, at the pool. They start blasting horrid excessively loud music at the pool, this would have been ok, if you could hear the songs, if they didn't have 100 yr old sound system with the most obnoxious huge speakers, where you can only hear the base thump & vibrate around the whole resort until 10pm. We complained about our grubby room, got upgraded to a villa. Was cleaner & nicer, but could still hear the vibration of the base through my room, which was furthest away. This is supposed to be an airport hotel, where guests have all hr of the day flights, not relaxing when you need to get up at 4.30am to get to airport. We couldn't wait to get out.

However, we are truly sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. We sincerely apologize for the issues you faced with your initial room. My one star rating is based on one incredibly important factor – the room I was in was facing the main road into the airport. The noise level all night was unbearable. The windows are single glazing with wooden shutters that do nothing to limit the noise. The room needs to be redone with adequate Insulation and soundproof products. No warning or earplugs were provided. I would not have taken this room if I had known – I was literally in transit for five hours and just wanted to sleep. If requesting in this hotel, book run away from the road.
