We booked this accommodation for one night prior to flying out of Nadi, and it was the perfect location for a convenient journey to the airport. It is still recovering from the COVID-19 shutdown, which impacted the spa, however regardless the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The on-site restaurant offered a convenient (though limited) choice for a dinner meal though we would recommend a table inside (watch the frogs!)

Dear jessicarg1988, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback on your recent stay with us. In fact we officially re-opened for business on 01 April 2022, we now have three concessionaires operating at the hotel with the Spa scheduled to re-open by mid December 2022. As you had experienced, our staff are just great in what they do, showcasing the "True Fijian Hospitality" to all our guests. We have theme nights on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays with live entertainment. Tables are available inside the restaurant or on the terrace, no issues with frogs as these are Fijian toads, which seem very friendly as well. We hope your next stay will be much more pleasant than your previous stay. Kind Regards Jack Work General Manager Novotel Nadi

I was apprehensive when I booked here for 1 week with my family (2adults, 2teens) I had read all the reviews, and the email booking took a few goes to get correct. We arrived with low expectations, prepared to make the most of our holiday.
On arrival we were warmly welcomed, checked in promptly and taken to our room. our room was a great size and had a queen middle, and two singles (one on each side) with still loads of space to walk between the beds and store luggage. Our view over the golf course to the mountains was beautiful, especially the sunrises.
The bathroom space was most adequate, and allowed for privacy when changing.
The grounds were lovely and well cared for (love the mango trees around the resort, yum), the pool was brilliant and so were all the loungers, day beds and hammocks. The restaurant staff were attentive, nothing was too much trouble, and they were always smiling and so welcoming, we enjoyed being able to read the local paper with breakfast. If you're hiring a car there's plenty of secure parking right by your room.
Of course there were some negatives, lighting in the rooms is very dim at night, the showers are older, the aircon too noisy to leave on when sleeping, the walls paper thin so when people checked out for early flights you also were awake, the dinner menu wasn't as good as the lunch, no activities hut or game room operating, lack of pool towels when needed, no coconuts on offer to drink or with breakfast, no hash browns all week for breakfast (hot chips were offered instead) No onsite DIY laundry
BUT!!!!!! None of things ruined our holiday, we still had a brilliant time and loved the staff who all worked very hard. For the price they charge compared to other places it's very much worth it.
We booked day trips every 2nd day and enjoyed the resort on days we stayed "home"
Check out the little shopping complex across the road, there's a great place called Grace Kitchen/Sunny Pizza, we really enjoyed dinners here when the resort didn't have a buffet night.
Overall, a great stay that I would recommend to others who want to have a comfortable base to explore Fiji from like we did, or for anyone who just needs a place to stay before or after a flight.
Thankyou team Novotel for a great experience

I recently stayed at this hotel for one night before an international flight, and my overall experience was disappointing. The check-in process was smooth, but upon entering our room (806), we were greeted with a few unpleasant surprises.
Firstly, despite booking a deluxe room with two queen beds, we found that both beds were doubles. The room itself was dank, dark, and exceptionally dirty. The bathroom was small, pokey, and riddled with mold. The kitchenette's benchtop, which doubled as the bathroom sink, was covered in grime and hadn't been wiped down in a long time.
Adding to the dissatisfaction, the room was equipped with only two towels for our party of four. While the hotel offered free wifi, the speed was reminiscent of the dark ages. The complimentary breakfast was mediocre at best, lacking effort and variety.
Considering the hefty price tag of $400 for the night, I expected a much higher standard. Despite friendly staff and well-presented grounds, the hotel's overall cleanliness and attention to detail were severely lacking. It's clear that the hotel manager has allowed standards to slip, and the housekeeping desperately needs an overhaul.
Having stayed in numerous budget hotels and backpackers, I can confidently say that there are cleaner and more pleasant options available. I strongly advise against choosing this hotel for your stay; the overall experience does not align with the price paid.

Excellent staff, welcoming and friendly. The restaurant for dinner was good, but ruined by the slowness of the service. I think this is Fiji in general but the staff were friendly, even if it took 2 hours for 2 courses!
The bad:
Booked an “Executive” room. What a disappointment! I’d have not liked to have seen any of the other room types!
Bad lighting. Even a nuclear explosion in the middle of the day would not make this room bright. It’s really poorly designed for lighting, and if you have bad eyesight you won’t be able to read inside during the day.
The ac had two settings. On or off! The fan squeaked so couldn’t have that on at night. You could adjust the speed of the AC but not the temperature.
The fridge had turned a mustard yellow due to age, it worked but looked about 15-20 years old. The sink and surrounds were old and not within the bath area.
The shower was fine, but the grouting and tiles need replacing. The floor looks dirty but isn’t (used a towel to try to clean it and towel came up clean).
The smell of the room due to dampness was off putting but I’m used to that in climates that have a high humidity.
Avoid at all costs!

There were only 2 things we liked about this hotel: 1. A good restaurant 2. Close proximity to the airport. However, overall, we have been left with a sour taste in our mouth and a bitter end to our time in Fiji. We were incredibly disappointed with our stay at Novotel Nadi and agree with other reviews suggesting a 2 star would better reflect this hotel. We had booked a superior double room with multiple beds. However, the room we ended up with did not match that description. The room was crawling with ants near the bed, by the tea station, and through the bathroom. The room was dirty - notably toilet, bath and floors did not look clean. The room was dark and stunk of cigarette smoke. The bed was uncomfortable, and the pillows were in effect lumpy pillow cases. If you have booked here a warning that they may attempt to overcharge you for the room. On arrival, it was acknowledged that we had paid in advance via Expedia, and we were advised a FJD100 hold would be charged to our card for any damages. On check out after a comedy of misunderstandings, they charged an additional FJD113.50 after misleading me to believe they needed my card to refund the original hold. The hotel was then reluctant to refund either transaction until we could prove that we had already paid (despite, I'm sure their system showing the settled account). Our taxi driver who had witnessed the interaction told us we are not the first people he's seen impacted by this. We would not recommend this stay to anybody and would suggest avoiding at all costs.

2 nights in total either side of our holiday. Never again. Positives: Professional and helpful staff. Nice view from restaurant. Pleasant outdoor pool. Nice towels at pool and in room.
Negatives: Bathrooms need to be totally gutted. Mouldy tiles. Water from shower escapes across floor. Toilet seat about to come off. Bathroom sink in too high kitchen bench which was old and worn. Bathroom sink in second stay was broken. On second stay safe was broken and located too high to use. Room lighting dim. Ceiling fan switch broken resulting in cold night sleep as not able to turn off. Couch cushions so worn & flattened the threads were visible.
Staff should be paid a resilience allowance as must have to placate lots of guests.
No way close to a Novotel standard.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights arriving with a rental car from NAD Airport at 7PM. Reception was easy with a nice trainee who copied my passport, confirmed the prepayment and our departure time, then took a 100 FJ ‘incidental deposit’ before providing our key cards which included the wifi code. Corner executive #701 was everything a couple could want in a spacious room with a vaulted wood beam ceiling; comfortable king, quiet AC with wall control, large TV with 8 channels, sink/closet room with refrigerator and hot pot, outside a bathroom with shower and tub and good hot water. A window wall opens to a large balcony with table /chairs and views over their 9 hole golf course. The 6AM breakfast buffet was well attended and extensive. The 20m pool was perfect for lap swimming, a nice 6 station gym and only 100m to the superb IGA supermarket. An enjoyable experience in this resort refurbished in 2007 by Accor.

If it was not for the staff, and the decent wifi, this would be a zero star review. Absolutely dated, dirty hotel. And for the price you expect at least a clean bathroom and sheets that aren’t ten years old.
After a late flight I just wanted a cup of tea, shower and bed. I asked at check in if there was tea and milk etc in the room.
I didn’t expect the tea bag to be stained with age or powder milk that was clumped together.
The bath towel smelt of petrol chemicals, the shower head poured or dripped water - no other choice.
The room was extremely dark and when shown to my room the staff member made sure I knew to double lock the balcony door. I assume security is an issue?
Breakfast was ghastly. Bacon soaking wet with oil, eggs that looked like they were made the day before and only white bread.
Having said all that, the staff was friendly and efficient and the wifi was really good for Fiji.
Obviously, would not stay again.

seriously if you want to compete with the rest of the world for value and service you really have to lift your game !! you may be getting that price for rooms at the moment but everyone i spoke to was shocked and said they would not return to Fiji ! this Novotel is looking very shabby and needs a serious up grade !! ( a coat of paint does not do it ) it is not any way near brand standards. Also staff service is a hit and miss some are trying others well ? no recognition of Accor membership at checkin ? sorry guys but very disappointing stay this time >

Novotel say it's $5 from the airport to the hotel, but the taxi charge $10FJD Definitely make sure the hotel knows what time you will be arriving. Come with low expectations if you are in the standard rooms and hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised.

My advise is to you change hotels if you can, it is nothing like a normal Novotel, it would be top on my lists of the dirtiest run down hotels I've stayed in

$10JF from airport to the hotel, and $5 back to the airport. But if you ask how much in front of another taxi driver, one will say a cheaper amount. :-p .
There are more places to choose from in the Nadi area.
