The hotel is located in the quiet and nice neighborhood of Pocitos. The ocean's rambla is a block from here. It is a walking distance of good restaurants and shopping. The breakfast is excellent. It has a lot of good options. The rooms are comfortable. It is kind of old, but very well kept.

We had a double room for family which made it super practical. The service was good and the hotel was comfortable,. The front desk staff were very helpful to the point of getting us rental car delivery to the hotel door! True the decor is from 70's , but waking up to ocean view and being able to go on... More

A block from the beach in a safe, walkable neighborhood, ten minutes from Old Town by cab. Perfect even for a brief stay in Montevideo. Staff is very helpful; rates are a steal. The decor is a bit retro, but that's part of its charm. Remember to reserve an ocean-facing room.

The hotel offers basic amenities with old decor and worn out furniture. The buffet breakfast selection is ok but doesn't change from day to day. Free high speed Internet is available. The neighborhood offers a wide variety of restaurants. A large shopping mall, Punta Caretas, is walking distance from the hotel. The beach is only a block away. I was... More

The hotel was stuck in the 70s & hadn't been updated for years. The room was basic but ok. However a pair of my shorts fell on the floor & were covered ion dust. The breakfast was basic &the disappointing. Staff were helpful & friendly.

The location is the most valuable characteristic of this hotel. Just one block away from the beach, in the middle of the most trendy neighborhood. The hotel is very clean, rooms are clean and private as well. Pillows could be better. Good value!

The rooms are a bit outdated (could use some renovations of the wallpapers) but everything else is awesome. Nice location very close to the beach, air condition does not directly blast cold air to the bed, lots of tv channels including non-Spanish ones. The staff at the reception is very friendly and organized rental bikes for us for a day... More

I enjoyed my stay the the Ermitage Hotel. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The location was excellent. Two blocks from the beach and across the street from a lovely little park with a direct view to the sea. Rooms were nice and simple. The bathroom was very nice. Free internet. There was a good sized refrigerator. Good value... More

Location at a good value is what brought me and my husband to the Ermitage hotel. It is a basic hotel, but with clean comfortable rooms, decent breakfast and helpful staff. Pocitos is a great area. Safe, charming and full of restaurants. The hotel is very close to the rambla and there is a bus stop just across the street.... More
