Hotel Agustos is located on the periphery of town Urubamba in Sacred Valley surrounded by mountains (Urubamba mountain range). Hotel complex looks pleasant and is full of carefully maintained greenery. The room we stayed in was really spacious and clean. The only problem was the wi-fi did not work at all (which was not so surprising in valley at altitude of nearly 3 000 meters), perhaps as such a usable connection was just in main lobby.

Beautiful large rooms with peaceful grounds/gardens and an interesting view of houses, fields, and mountains outside the walled grounds. We were a close walk to town which suited us. If you do not want to walk, you can ask for a Tuk-Tuk (cross between a taxi and and a rickshaw). The rooms do not have central heating. In colder weather I recommend you ask for a heater when you first check in. They will bring it to you, position, and plug it in. It is a radiator type heater so it takes a while to heat the nice large room. I preferred it because it has no fan and is gentle on the ears and sinuses, so no problem. You will enjoy your lovely balcony with table and chairs. The service was excellent.

We were on an escorted trip around Peru with a group of 15 adults and we stayed here for 2 nights before going to Machu Picchu. This was the most beautiful place we stayed during our trip to Peru. It is set amongst a beautiful landscaped garden and mountains as back drop. The check in was efficient. Had forms filled out ready for us to sign and while we did that they started taking our bags to the room. The lobby is beautifully decorated with amazing paintings and has a small bar. The room was very spacious with 2 Queen beds and a small balcony facing the back garden. We had 2 soaps and shampoo sachets, towels were replaced everyday.  The staff were so helpful. Please note, there is no tea/ coffee making facilities in the room. They had refillable water available for our group and I got the restaurant staff to provide me with hot water on both nights.  The breakfast was very very basic. Scrambled eggs, French toast, bread, potato chips & cereal with tea, coffee & juices. The town/village square is around 15 minutes walk from here. Beautiful place and definitely worth a stay.

This Hotel on the outskirts of Urubamba has beautiful grounds and landscape. The rooms are outdated and the mattress is very hard like a board. Rooms don't have a/c units but they do have a small refrigerator and portable heater.
The other negative is that are kind of obligated to eat at there restaurants because there is absolutely nothing near by. Prices in restaurants are pricey. Make sure to buy water bottles before arriving to hotel because the overpriced the water bottles also

The hotel is quite difficult to find because it is hidden behind a small path. I was worried about what the hotel would look like because the streets in Urubamba leading up to the hotel are not the best, however I was blown away when I saw the hotel. It is much nicer than the surrounding area and has a beautiful garden area. The hotel room was nice and the food in the restaurant was reasonably good. The bar area is quite small but it is a rather quiet place so it doesn't get too crowded.

Just when you think you are in the middle of no where, the gates open to an oasis. The grounds were beautiful. Flowers were in bloom and there is plenty of seating area in the garden to relax. Rooms were clean and simple. The staff was wonderful, with special recognition for Katelin at reception, who took customer service to a new level. The hotel restaurant offered a variety of food; we enjoyed our dinner there. There's a short walk to nearby Inca ruins. The walk to town seemed a bit isolated but for 3-5 soles you can hire a moto taxi to city centre or the bus terminal and take a collectivo to Ollantaytanbo for 3 soles. Not much to do IN Urubamba.

Ok, it’s a dated hotel in terms of styling and they could do with a few tweaks in providing a modern electronics wall safe and shower cubicle (rather than shower over bath) but rooms are immaculate, cleaned to perfection and staff are superb. Restaurant food is better than basic but not Michelin dining but very well presented and well cooked. Hotel has a fantastic shop for authentic souvenirs at good prices despite having a captive audience.
Highly recommend staying here; it has a lovely hacienda feel and only 30 mins from Machu Picchu

I stayed here 2 nights as part of a tour package through Exoticca Travel. Our group arrived after dark and were hungry. The restaurant had amazing food and even their side salad was spectacular. I can't remember the name of our waitress but she was so gracious about being invaded by a hungry hoard so close to the end of their day. One of our group didn't arrive till just a few minutes before they were to close but it was no problem - he ordered and got his food and all was well.
I highly recommend this restaurant and hotel! I number of people in our group had their chicken soup and said it was very good.
I had a card to mail and the lady at the front desk took it and said she'd put stamps on it and get it in the mail for me!
I'd stay there again!

Firstly I will start with the positives, the hotel was nice with beautiful greenery surrounding. The decor certainly wasn’t modern however it was perfectly fine.
Secondly the negatives, customer service was inadequate. Two of us are vegetarian and one morning we had to leave before breakfast opened so were told we would have ‘takeaway breakfast’. We clarified that these would be vegetarian three times (at checkin, the night before and in the morning when collecting the bags) but when we got on our journey we found they both contained ham. This is absolutely unacceptable and I hope they treat allergens more seriously or they could kill someone. When we mentioned this to the receptionist she just smiled and nodded and said ‘oh okay’, which is not an acceptable response.
Also you have to pay for water here which we were absolutely fine with. When we bought a second lot on the second day we realised we had paid double the amount the previous day. When I said this to the receptionist again she just nodded and after a long pause said she would call someone. Other members of our tour group also agreed they had paid double the price the previous day. The following morning the receptionist was extremely rude and told us we were lying. She also told us, in a borderline threatening manner, that everything we do is on camera which is a bit weird given we were in a hotel so hoping she didn’t mean ‘everything’ as that’s a gross invasion of privacy. When we asked to watch the camera footage she was speaking of she told us it wasn’t available.
The amount of money was not significant but the reaction of staff was wholly inappropriate - especially for a hospitality business.
Overall would not recommend anyone stay here. Customer service skills require a lot of improvement.
