While we only spent one night here, the facility was both beautiful and immaculate. The staff were both friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. What set the hotel apart from others, was the remote location. We were surrounded by mountains. The snow capped peaks in the distance were a stark contrast to the mountains that seemed almost within reach, with a small river as a boundary.

The gardens in the rear of the facility were very well maintained and tranquil, with a walkway leading to the river’s edge.

It’s a beautiful hotel located in a remote and majestic setting.

The Taypikala Hotel Delue Valle Sagrado was my favorite stay during my time in Peru. The hotel is patterned after a temple with the shape resembling a condor and the grounds include a model of the Moray crater in front of a hotel as well as a meditation labyrinth and ceremonial "cave". The backdrop is absolutely beautiful with the mountains and the creek that runs behind the hotel. The staff were some of the most polite and always knew our names every time we saw them. The rooms were large and beautifully done (especially the bathrooms) and the restaurant served delicious meals and drinks. I would highly recommend.

I can’t imagine that there would be a better place to stay anywhere in Peru. The owner of this hotel has such integrity and it appears as though he has put great thought into making your stay as perfect as possible. The setting is picturesque and the rooms are well done. The food in the hotel is excellent, and you don’t have to worry about what you eat, because they take great care to make sure any dietary needs are met. Whether you are here for romance, relaxation, health, adventure or history, this is the place for you. Make sure to ask them about Kontiki Tours, too.

Our experience has been very nice so far. The breakfast buffet is very good with a lot of choices. The omelette was delicious as well as the variety of jams and homemade breads. Our server for a few meals was Yihamil. He was very helpful and always had a warm smile.

The grounds are impressive in size and tranquility. Many flowering plants and secret little spots to discover. My 17 year old son loved watching the alpacas and sheep and slowly gaining their trust to pet.

The rooms are very large and well appointed and the front desk is very helpful and quick to respond to requests.

As an avid traveler and travel agency owner I must say that I am throughly impressed with the personalized attention to detail. We had 11 rooms booked for a personal family trip. The morning before our arrival I messaged via WhatsApp to let them know what time we will arrive. On the way, I messaged again to let them know that a few persons in my group were feeling unwell and may require oxygen while another 5 needed massages which were arranged and confirmed via WhatsApp! When we pulled up to the hotel, the manager, Abel was there for greet us and immediately turned his attention to the persons who were sick. The oxygen tank was waiting out front but thankfully was not needed. When we walked in, there was one staff member collecting passports, while another was directing the group to look for their pre-printed documents with their room keys! Abel invited the children to meet and feed the llamas. This was quite a warm welcome. He further arranged for them to have a bonfire in the evening which they were so excited about. This was hotel #4 of the 5 that we are staying at during our stay in Peru. It is the most reasonably priced but by far the most cozy and catered to I felt the entire time. It doesn’t hurt that the property itself is stunning as well!!! There is one restaurant which has excellent local food. I would 100% recommend this hotel largely because of the service provided by Abel and his staff!

I have no words to thank the staff, giving a special mention to Maria, Jamil, Hector, Abel and the chef. it's worth having dinner at the hotel, delicious food! Should stay in Taypikala, we loved it!

The town of Urubamba is a true rustic Peruvian experience. This hotel is located next to the beautiful river, and you get perfect views of the mountain range, and the stars at night. No kidding, you can see the Milky Way at night. The rooms are cozy and well supplied. The staff is absolutely amazing, they accommodated every single one of our needs and requests. The spa is beautiful, it has a great view of the river. The massages are great. The restaurant has good food, and again GREAT STAFF!!!!! Don’t be afraid to explore the town of Urubamba, which has a really adorable town Square, and fantastic restaurants. But again my favorite part were the people. The hotel staff will help you organize any excursion you want to take to nearby attractions, they will arrange transportation to and from the airport, and they will arrange transportation into town. Don’t go for the fancy taxis, instead, I highly recommend taking the little tuk-tuks. They are affordable and a lot of fun. This place gives you so much more for the money. We would definitely come back here.

The Taypikala is an awe inspiring hotel with clean and comfy rooms, delicious food in the restaurant, and very helpful staff. There are many impressive amenities, and the grounds are absolutely breathtaking. If you are planning a trip to Peru, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Sacred Valley.

They also offer top notch guided tour services for your ease and convenience when taking in the endless sites and history the area has to offer.
