Stayed two nights. Took taxi from train station to foot of street on which Lodge is located as road to Lodge is too narrow for regular taxi. 5 - 10 minute walk with roller luggage over cobble stone road. Easy 10 min walk to Plaza Mayor and Ollantaytambo Ruins and restaurants. In quiet area with private attractive garden. Room (101)...

Thanks for your review, we are glad you enjoyed our quiet pedestrian location, gardens, cozy wooden floors and comfortable beds. We can help guests who call from the plaza with their luggage as we have a tricycle cart to make even the heaviest cases lighter work. Equally we can help them get back to the plaza on departure. Our early...

I'm accustomed to hotels, but this was, to me, just a simplified hotel. Very clean. Great views from second floor. A bit of a long, long hike from the train station. But lille motorcycle-taxis will run you up to the square and you still have a ten minute walk. But what a walk! The Inca stone lined streets really are...

Thanks for your review, we are glad you enjoyed everything about your stay and especially the other guests: we feel so blessed to always have such great guests. We are a few minutes walk from the plaza and from there our staff can help with luggage, and like you say it is a gorgeous walk to the peaceful Lodge, along...

Apu Lodge is a gem located under the foothills of Inca ruins. The walk to the lodge (5/10 min from car-accessible road) is worth the journey as soon as you enter the meticulously manicured courtyard. The rooms were clean, bathrooms updated, and staff was knowledgeable and always willing to help. The charm of Apu Lodge is worth returning to!

We just returned from a three night stay. We had a triple room on the second floor (highly recommend second floor) with a stunning view over to the ruins. The room was large enough for the three of us with a small balcony to get some fresh air. Our beds had duvets on them versus the standard comforters seen in...

The location of Apu Lodge is really beautiful (and quiet) and the staff are wonderful. Our travel plans got really messed up by a flight cancelation but Daz & Nancy helped us immensely. Breakfast was delicious. Our room was small but we had everything we needed. The upper rooms have neat views of the ruins.

Great service, helpful at all times; very responsive to e-mail inquiries. A perfect location in a small village, away from the bustle and touristy town of Machu Picchu. We were picked up at the Cusco airport, and they had to wait over 2 hours since our Peru Air flight was delayed. Apparently that's standard for this airline. Great English speakers,...

Thanks for your lovely review, we are delighted you loved our food and our service. Our drivers usually are always happy to wait for you, it helps if you can let us know that you are delayed and they appreciate a tip for the extra waiting time. Peruvian Airlines does have some issues with punctuality, but they are one of...

A wonderful guest house in a beautiful town with amazing staff, food and surroundings. They could not have been more helpful or hospitable to both our families and we really enjoyed our stay there over a few days. Highly recommended.

We stayed 2 nights. We feel in love with the garden including the hummingbirds and hearing the water going down the channel just outside. Our room was relaxing and great views of the Inca ruins. We loved the evening meals which were so tasty and huge. Breakfast was excellent. We had a great driver organised by the friendly staff who...

The Apu Lodge was a great place to acclimatize before we hiked the Inca Trail. We stayed here for 3 nights before the hike and 1 night after. They stored our luggage when we did the trail. The staff were friendly and recommended some great restaurants in town.We had a room on the upper floor facing the ruins. It was...
