We stayed for two nights. The hotel grounds are amazing - lush plants and lots of hummingbirds darting around. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk into town - so not too bad. The breakfast was included and very good. We ordered a bottle of wine one night in the bar and had excellent service. The only downside is...

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed nice room and the beautiful garden. Location is 15 within minutes walking distance to the center of the village with some restaurants and coffee bars. Restaurant has nice staff, meals are rather expensive with quality little above average.

less than 10 mins to train station & town. Wonderful hotel, beautiful landscaping and views from our 2nd floor room. Nice breakfast buffet, friendly staff. One of our favorite hotels in Peru, not to be missed if you are in town

We just had a fantastic trip to Peru and Pakaritampu was our two night respite in the Scared Valley. The location is great for the tren to Machu Picchu, but far enough away that you aren't bothered by the hubbub down there, and also a great short walk into Ollantaytambo for dinner, touring. The rooms were excellent, clean, lovely. The...

Part of a tour arranged by Viejes Pacifico. Simple but very comfortable room, wonderful breakfast included, held our bags for two days while we went to Machu Picchu. Just down the street from the train station so took small bag to Agues Caliente.

Rather than stay in one of the "luxury" hotels in the Sacred Valley, we wanted to be next to the train station for our early trip to Machu Picchu. This hotel was listed as three stars and the grounds seemed nice according to the pictures. Way exceeded all expectations. The room was fine for three of us, the grounds beautiful,...

This was a comfortable hotel just a few steps from the train station. Pleasant, helpful staff. We decided to walk into town for dinner--probably not the best idea, as it was dark and the sidewalks were very narrow. We took a taxi back.

PROS: Absolutely beautiful grounds and incredible views of the steep mountains all around you. Restaurant had a really good breakfast buffet, but the meals were a little pricey. LOVED the resident Alpaca with his underbite! Very conveniently located just half a block from the train station and within an easy walk to the markets and the ruins. CON: My only...

We stayed in Pakaritampu which is just minutes downhill to the train station to Machu Picchu and perhaps 7 minutes walk slightly uphill to the town. Moto taxis are easily available if you are feeling the altitude. The hotel is beautifully set in gardens full of flowers and enormous hummingbirds. The rooms are large and windows look out onto the...

We stayed for one night on the way to Machu Picchu to acclimatise. It was extremely quiet with perhaps another couple also visiting. We had two rooms in the back building on the left and the rooms were spacious and clean. The wifi only worked in the reception area which was fine. Had dinner and breakfast and both were good...
