We reserved a few nights, several months in advance of our visit, and paid a deposit. We also sent money to purchase entry tickets to Machu Picchu. When my husband suffered an injury and we needed to cancel our trip to Peru, I notified El Albergue more than a month in advance and requested a refund according to their policy....

Our deepest apologies for this significantly uncharacteristic lapse in communication. You will find you have been refunded your deposit as well as the full price of your Machu Picchu tickets (along with an email including confirmation of ticket purchase). Again, we are truly sorry for the inconvenience and wish you could reschedule your trip to experience the true El Albergue...

Stayed here on our way to Machu Picchu, This hotel was quaint, and location was perfect. Flower Gardens were beautiful and the service excellent. Served food from their own Organic Agriculture area . We had a Specially prepared lunch made in a hot stone earthen / buried style that was delicious and could feed an army. There are archaeologic ruins...

Our family of four stayed 3 nights at this wonderfully authentic and rustic boutique hotel as part of our destination to Machu Picchu. The location is perfect for numerous reasons. We were able to explore the quaint town of Ollantaytambo and some of the really great Inca ruins located there. There is an original Inca trail that goes directly from...

We lost one of our nights at El Albergue because our plane was delayed and they didn't have any availability to extend our stay...so sad! This B&B was wonderful, especially Miguel and the restaurant staff! The airport pickup driver, Eloy was also great! It was nice just to roll out of bed and onto the train to Machu Picchu too!...

The hotel is well situated to catch the train and very comfortable with all the facilities required to make a great stay. The attached restaurant serves organic, local cuisine which is superb. Highly recommended

We loved our short stay and wish we could have stayed longer than one night. We arrived on PeruRail from Aguas Calientes and the hotel's location could not be more convenient! That night we enjoyed a special dinner in their restaurant, which was delicious. We were especially appreciative of our comfortable and well-appointed room after having just completed the Inca...

This hotel and especiallly the garden made me feel I was in a Henry James novel or a passage to India - old fashioned, peaceful, quaint... I adored it. Rooms were very comfortable too and the restaurant was great with the best coffee we had in Peru. Also super close to the train station to Machu Pichu.

El Albergue de Ollantaytambo is a little slice of heaven - they know it and charge for it. At least they could be more friendly and make ALL their guests feel at home. The main areas for improvement are the cold reception from the older woman at the Front Desk and the wifi in the rooms (it did not work...

This hotel is located next to the train and is most convenient for an early morning departure to Aguas Calientes. It is a hidden gem with a small check in but when you go to the rooms there is a lovely garden. We had a hammock on our balcony and it was charming and delightful. There is a restaurant and...

We stayed 2 nights here. Ate at the restaurant both nights and the food was inventive and fresh as well as delicious. French toast at breakfast was excellent. Hotel staff was extremely helpful when we had a complaint. Wonderful location for train to Aguas Calientes/Machu Picchu.
