My wife and I stayed here while visiting Machu Picchu.this is the only hotel next to the park gates. If you don't stay here you have to take a bus up and down the hill side for 20 to 30 minutes every time you want to visit the national Park.everything about this hotel is perfect. The staff could not be...

The situation can't be beaten. It's a fabulous place, the grounds, plants, water pools and humming birds were special. The restaurant and bar are great and they do and evening Pisco Sour making lessons. We had a terrace with table, chair and sun-bed and the views were the best I had seen from a hotel. The room was charming and...

You cannot beat the convenience of this hotel. Only steps from the entrance to MP, you can get in early. The hotel itself is fine. Rooms are quite nice and most have private patios. Restaurant is good. Small but capable bar inside the restaurant.

This place is literally over the top. Mere feet from the entrance to Machu Picchu, you are provided almost exclusive access to this magical place for many hours. We had the all inclusive package, so enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner, cocktails, beer and wine. The staff was professional and friendly. While the rooms are not huge, they were clean, modern...

While this is billed as a luxury hotel, it's actually rather ordinary. However its location right outside the entry gates to Machu Picchu make it extraordinary. You can't beat sitting on your patio with a view of Hanna Picchu and being able to walk into the ruins at will. The rooms are small but nice, with the usual luxury amenities....

Very expensive hotel. Average grounds. Great staff -- good meals. The attraction is being at the gates of Machu Picchu. Definitely worth spending a night there. When the crowds leave at the end of the day or early in the morning, you almost have Machu Picchu to yourself. I have pictures of the site with no one in them! Wonderful...

We were in "shoulder season" so we only paid $925 a night for two nights. That included six very good gourmet meals including drinks. I was in the first three people in line to enter Machu Picchu in the morning and in the last ten to exit at night both days. No fighting with 300 people to get up there...

If you can get a reservation at this hotel, you will want to stay here. It abuts the ancient site and is 5*. Such convenience. The rooms are comfortable and the food and service are excellent. It gives you the opportunity to visit Machu Picchu early in the day before other tourists arrive, and go back and forth if you...

Quick TIP - Book the Hiram Bingham luxury train to Machu Picchu (MP) take the Citadel tour when the train arrives, stay 2 nights at Belmond Sanctuary and then take the MUCH less expensive and more flexible daytime schedules of the Vista Dome trains back to Cusco. Just do it. If you are traveling all the way to Peru to...
