Not sure how the hotel is as normally tourist dont stay in the city center of Lima rather in Mirafloes. But I went with some friends to have drinks at night there and is a place full of character and history (is where the Pisco Sour coctel was invented). Is in the cicy center, near Plaza de Armas and is...

I have to agree with many of the reviews before me. Hotel Maury is a once grand hotel which is looking very tired. On the positive side, it's in a very central location, and allowed easy walking to fine dining at night, and for easy walking to the Plaza and an extended shopping area. I'd stay there again, and value...

Stayed for the last night of our tour; agree with other reviews about faded grandeur etc, the bed was comfortable (always the most important thing for me!), and the facilities in the room good. However, the room overlooked the busy road and was very noisy, and although breakfast was supposed to be from 6 to 10 am, when we came...

Great location in Downtown Lima, close to attractions, transport and a supermarket. You can imagine this hotel being grand and ornate about 60 years ago, it now looks a bit tired and old and it's granduer has faded - but I still kinda liked it. Staff were helpful - the bar was the one where the Pisco Sour was invented,...

I stayed here as part of a tour, the staff were friendly and very helpful. Its an old hotel and probably was a top place in its day....but it is clean and comfy and close to the old historical part of Lima. Breakfast was plentiful

Clean rooms, helpful and pleasant staff and in a good location for the main square. The only downside was the noise from the traffic outside.

Stayed here as part of an organised tour, the bed was comfy. The room was spacious, the bathroom was very small! Usual noise from a south american city outside but that can't be helped!

One of the masters of Pisco Sour holds court at the Bar Maury. Barman Eloy Cuadros has 47 years’ experience and most of those were spent at the Maury. I ordered and explained my desire to meet the masters of Pisco Sour during my stay. While mixing he laughed and added his friend Jorge Kanashiro (Jorge has recently died) with...

I stayed here as part of a Tucan tour. It is very handy for the main square, shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and very helpful, directing me to banks and places to eat whenever I needed help. It certainly has seen better days and I am unable to comment on value for money as it was included in...

This hotel was no doubt once the pride of Lima, in fact it was in the hotel bar that the famous Pisco Sour cocktail was invented. Now, along with much of Lima city centre it is tired and forelorn. Water was never more than lukewarm, light bulbs in the room were too dim to read by, and the buffet breakfast...
